YOUR MESS IS NOT TOO MUCH FOR GOD.

I was recording a video the other morning for a new season of our school, and I began to prophesy over those who are coming before the Lord in this season with just such brokenness. You feel like all you have in your hands right now is just broken mess, twisted dysfunction, failure, heartache, loss. You don't know where you're going. You feel disqualified. You're at rock bottom. You feel like you have nothing left. And the only thing you can do is either give up completely or surrender.

And this came out of my mouth– “Your mess is not too much for God.”

Let me say that again… “Your mess is not too much for God!”

I just want to release this to everyone out there. I feel like this is a season where so much is being shaken. There's a lot of issues and problems in the church that God is shaking. But there's also a lot of dysfunction and demonic assignments that God is shaking to deliver you from them.

And it feels like there is so much mess. It feels like you're surrounded by debris and decay. You’re asking, ‘What is going on? Where do I go? How do I function when I'm surrounded by so much mess?’

The Lord is saying,

“Your mess is not too much for me. Your brokenness is not too much for me. The problems you're facing are not too much for me. The issues in your marriage and your relationships are not too much for me. Your prodigal children are not too much for me. The mess in your finances is not too much for me. That bad report? It's not too much for me.”

It reminds me of the story of Ruth. Ruth and her mother in law, Naomi, both lost their husbands, and hit a complete rock bottom. So much so that Naomi said:

“Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me." –Ruth 1:20

But Ruth chose to go down to the threshing floor, a place of deep surrender, and laid at the feet of Boaz (Ruth 6). And Boaz, who prophetically represents Jesus, came in and not only married her, but he bought her past, present, and her future, redeeming everything she had lost.

“Then Boaz announced to the elders and all the people, ‘Today you are witnesses that I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelek, Kilion and Mahlon. I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, Mahlon’s widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from his hometown. Today you are witnesses!’” –Ruth 4:9-10

Their mess was not too much for God and neither is yours.

So I know this is a simple word, but I decree and prophesy this over your week:

Your mess is not too much for God. Your mess is not too much for God!

I want to ask you to do something if you are reading this…

As you begin this week, maybe you feel that anxiety rising and thinking, ‘there are so many things I've got to fix.’

That's it right there. The feeling that YOU have to fix the problem that you don't know how to fix, and was never YOUR thing to fix in the first place. That’s God’s job.

And, you can't fix them anyway! But what you can do is surrender.

I want to invite you this week to surrender to God…

Maybe your heart has been far from the Lord and as you're reading this, you want to rededicate your life to the Lord.

Maybe you're at rock bottom with nowhere else to turn and no one else to turn to.

Maybe you've been through betrayal, pain, woundedness, and you've run from Him instead of to Him.

Can I invite you to give your heart and life to Him again?

If you're reading and the conviction of the Holy Spirit is coming on you right now, get on your knees and say, ‘Jesus, I surrender. I give you my mess.’

Now watch what He's going to do, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
