THE COST OF SITTING UNDER LABELS, WRONG COVERINGS, AND FALSE MANTLES.
If you are experiencing a tug of war on every single side while you are stepping into a new mantle, a new anointing, this is why:
There is a huge cost to listening to the wrong voices and being distracted right now. Whether you see it or not, God is birthing something FRESH through you that you need to guard and protect.
There is a huge cost to coming into alignment with words over your life that are not from God's heart. There is a huge cost for believing flattery and lies dressed up as a word from the Father, and they could last years by derailing you.
It leads you astray and leads you off track. It takes you away from your calling, and it causes you to shut down your voice instead of stepping into it.
It causes you to be a mouthpiece for something you were never meant to be a mouthpiece for.
It causes you to come in line with the enemy's agenda instead of the Lord's plans.
Right now, God is exposing the things that are trying to sit over you and control you in a time that God is raising you up as a pure mouthpiece and a voice in a moment of chaos and transition in the church.
There is a cost to staying under the labels of man and the labels that you put on yourself about who you are.
There's a cost to living under the words and decrees that have been spoken over you from man, and curses that have been sent from the pit of hell to make you feel small and limited, in the time that God is raising you up as a mighty lion to take down giants in the earth.
There's a cost to believing these lies because it silences you. It shuts you down. It limits you. It manages you. It blocks your anointing and the oil trickling forth from your life.
There's a cost to being more attuned to the fear of men than the fear of the Lord, where you're eagerly wanting to release what God's given you, but you're not wanting to offend. You're not wanting to rock the boat. You're not wanting to convict or release the full weight of the word of the Lord you are carrying because a part of you still wants to be liked and not offend. That can be a trading point that leads you away from the fear of the Lord and the obedience to do this for an audience of One. The cost is that you'll eventually live for the praises of man.
There's a cost to tolerating false alignments and false coverings– being under people who said they would cover you. Networks and ministries that want to put their wings over you that were never ordained by God to do so.
There are pure ones, but there are also many that are wanting to limit and manage you. The religious spirit wants to make sure that you don't step out of your bounds, that you don’t step into that ferocious calling; wanting to make sure you are not properly unleashed into the fullness of that anointing on your life and wanting to limit what you say, how you say it, and edit what you say.
These coverings come in as safety, but really, they're squashing and killing the anointing on your life. They're keeping you chained to the old thing so you never step into the new. It starts off feeling like protection but after a while feels like flies in the ointment (Ecclesiastes 10:1).
It's like suddenly you're tethered to something that is sick and dying, and you don't know what it is. You're frustrated, you're discontent, and you just don't know why you're waking up every single day in swirls of fog and witchcraft, and nothing seems to work.
It's because of what you are tethered to. It is because of what you are aligned with that you shouldn't be aligned with.
There's a huge cost to being connected to the wrong people in this season. It will make you feel naked and uncovered. It will make you feel exposed when God is wanting you to RUN RUN RUN!
There's a huge cost to wearing mantles you were never meant to wear. Just like Saul put his armour on David before he defeated Goliath in 1 Samuel 17. It looked safe. It looked honorable. But it was not what GOD was calling him to wear. It was a false mantle. A false mantle will send you into your assignment already defeated because it’s not the mantle of victory. It’s trusting in man instead of trusting in God.
It’s being yoked to the wrong thing out of fear or false humility that derails you in your critical and pivotal moments. And if you wear these mantles, you'll be weighed down and heavy, and you'll not be able to take down the Goliath that God's called you to take down.
You will not be able to be unleashed into the fullness of the voice that God has given you. You will not be able to be fully free to step into that flow of the Spirit.
Yes, there's a cost…
There's a cost to coming under the wrong leadership, and those who aren’t true and who aren’t freeing mothers and fathers.
If they are the ones that are not trying to lift you up and send you out, but they're trying to contain you and limit you, it will put you in bondage and then actually poison you from ever doing Kingdom.
I've seen this on repeat over the years. People full of fire and passion, fresh-faced and ready, step out for the Lord, and because of a few bad decisions they make under that false covering, it poisons them from ever doing Kingdom again.
I can see it right now in the spirit– there's an all-out tug of war on your life when you're birthing and stepping into that place where God is about to use you mightily, or is already using you mightily.
There's a tug of war in the spirit. It’s almost like a territorial land grab, where so many demonic assignments are trying to pull you from so many angles.
That's why you're getting the text messages from people out of nowhere. "What are you doing? Can I be a part of it? What can I do?"
It’s the enemy wanting ACCESS to the birthing room! Be wise!!
These people look innocent, but I'm telling you, this is a spiritual assignment that is trying to pull at you from every single angle.
So how do you manage this season well?
You do it by breaking the labels that have been over you. The curses, the words, the things that have been spoken over your identity– you combat it with the word of God and what the Father says over you. You allow God to father you in this emerging moment and allow him to destroy and tear down every thought, imagination, curse and false prophetic word that's been spoken over your life that's already been sabotaging you and wreaking havoc behind the scenes.
You combat it by asking the Lord to break you free from the wrong alignments, wrong coverings, and the people and the areas that have been over you instead of those who have been championing you and lifting up your arms; asking the Lord to lead you to the mothers and the fathers and the ones with the right hearts who will lift you up.
You combat it by allowing God to dismantle the wrong mantles– by choosing to not come under the armor of Saul, and putting on those false identities and taking on the missions and mandates of others, but stepping fully into your mantle, your anointing, and what you have been commissioned to do on this earth.
You combat it by pushing back against the fear of man and leaning into the fear of the Lord.
Know who your people are. Know those around you. Find the pure ones. There are more than you know so don’t get into a critical or pessimistic spirit about it. God has a tribe for you!
You cannot effectively step out for the Lord as an emerging voice if you're appeasing and tolerating spiritual assignments around you that are trying to keep you contained. The Lord right now is revealing them so that the only cost you pay in this call is the cost to lay everything down for the King of kings as worship.
I know it feels like a field of land mines stepping out for the Lord, but also remember HE IS WITH YOU!
