THIS IS A 2.0 SET APART SEASON!

Since January, I've been hearing the Lord say that there is a second set apart season coming. And when He said it to me, I felt joy on it. It didn't feel heavy - it felt like joy that God was separating His people for a purpose.

But what does this mean?

Since He told me that, I've had four dreams over the last five months. Every single dream was speaking the same thing in a different way.

In two of the dreams, I was at a conference in these massive, big churches. Everyone was dressed in suits, and I was dressed in board shorts. I didn't fit in. And the Lord forbade me from going into that place. He said, "This is not for you." I was trying to change my clothes to look like them, and He said, "No. This is not for you."

(Just a disclaimer: I’m not saying God is against churches.. We are the church! But it was highlighting a systemic impurity that He no longer wants His people to partner with)

The second dream was about the same thing. It was a conference, and everyone was driving these certain kinds of cars, and the Lord did not let me drive them. Instead, I was on a skateboard. I looked ridiculous next to these people, but again He said, "I don't want you driving that. I don't want you doing what they're doing."

The third dream was where people were wearing beautiful shoes and beautiful clothes, and the Lord said to me, "That is not the clothing or the shoes I want you to wear."

The last dream was of a massive collision– an explosion of cars on a freeway. I was witnessing this massive destruction taking place. I saw the debris, and it was horrific. I could smell burning flesh and metal. As I drove past these vehicles, I looked down and realized that I was on a hoverboard. Like something out of Back to the Future.

I woke up from that dream and I knew the Lord was telling me that what we're about to see in the church in a greater way is not just the ending of an old era, but a collision. Cars representing ministry movements, old ways of doing things, old mindsets.

The warning in this season is that the Lord wants you set apart.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." –Romans 12:2

So much of the church is still looking like the world. And maybe that's why in this last season you've felt like God has been setting you apart.

I know so many of you are like, "God's already set me apart for years."

He's been doing that with Christy and I for a long time now. He hasn't allowed us into certain rooms, certain places. We've said no to joining certain networks, and speak at certain conferences. We say ‘no’ to more than we say ‘yes’ to. And honestly, that has frustrated me over the years. I'd think, “God, why won't you let me in that room? I want to be in that room.” But it was only later that we realized it was for our protection.

So what is God saying over you right now? What does this second set apart season look like?

We're entering a 2.0 realignment Season.

This speaks predominantly of a season of relational realignment. Coming out of places where those around you are not your people to run with– places that are inhibiting you or compromising your calling simply by your involvement or connection. It's a season of letting go of the snakes. The people who have been around you that aren't really for you. The constant cycles of dysfunction. Casting your pearls before those who aren't for you, giving your best to people who are sabotaging you.

It's the season of coming out of rooms that are trying to make you conform and be like them, which is stopping you from entering into your calling.

A realignment season is about finding your people. They might not be who you expect. But God is wanting you to find your people.

The 2.0 holiness and purity of the call

What is distracting you and taking you off course in your calling? Sometimes even Christians around you can pull you away when God is trying to get you to do something He's called you to do. God is separating you from the distraction that's keeping you from your original assignment and stopping you from being obedient to the call of God on your life.

You've been babysitting everyone else's vision, doing what everyone else wants you to do, and it's led you astray. You weren't called to build the old. You weren't called to toil and give your life for something that isn't your assignment. You are not called to be who they are. And you can't keep birthing in the wrong places with the wrong people.

The Lord is leading you into a season of deeper freedom and peace– a place where you simply wake up every day and do the thing you're anointed to do and have authority to do. The fruit of it is peace and freedom.

The fine-tuning of your relationship with God

God is leading you into a greater set apart season for the sake of deeper relationship with Him. When you've been through battle seasons, it brings weariness. It also brings a slow disconnect in your relationship with God. This is a season where He is leading you back up the mountain– a place of hearing His voice clearly and untangling from all the noise and deception.

This is the season of next-level visitation that marks you and brands you for the days ahead. Without this, you don't have the oil. Without this, you'll run dry. The enemy is trying to prevent you from this right now. But that is why God is setting you apart– not to punish you, but to bring you higher and into a deeper level of connection and relationship with Him.

Deliverance from the old wineskin and the hustle.

You are cut of a different cloth, and there's a deeper call for you. This is why so many people are finding that things aren't working the way they used to. Your vision isn't working. The things you used to put your hand to don’t work the way they used to because there's a different rhythm now.

God is allowing you to see that things aren't working so that you're delivered from the idolization of what you used to be, who you used to be, and what you used to do. He wants to be the only affection in your life.

I believe this is a Nazarite season that God is calling you to. It's the fine-tuning of your assignment. God is bringing you to a deeper level of anointing, power, and authority for something you don't even fully know you carry yet. He's bringing you into the fullness– the weighty part of your mantle. The place where less is more. Where you're not spread thin.

Heads up– it may feel like a hidden season in many ways. It won't be visible. But God will get you out of the rat race, out of the old rhythms that only bring you pain, and into a place of genuine fruitfulness.

God Is detouring you from the system.

You may have already been sensing this for a while now, but God is calling you to build differently. Build pure. Build with the new wine. It's where He puts a new language in you. You suddenly don't feel like you even understand or fit the old system you used to be a part of. The things that used to excite you no longer do. God is fine-tuning and redirecting your affections toward something He is presently doing, not what He used to do. He's giving you fresh vision and fresh blueprints.

And if you aren't set apart, you'll miss it or you'll forfeit it, because it doesn't make sense yet. That's where so many people are right now. Trying to figure out where they're going, what their next steps are, holding pieces of revelation they don't fully understand yet.

This is why paying attention to your dreams, visions, and the things the Lord is showing you right now is so important. Begin to connect them together. Ask the Lord. Seek Him. Fast and pray in this season. Allow Him to recalibrate and reset your heart and life back to Him.

I do feel like this is a warning in a sense. If we don't step into this second set apart season, we're going to continue in the dysfunction of the past. We're only going to know what it is to live in mess and debris, disappointment, and discouragement, and we'll never taste of the fruit of the promise God gave us years ago.

Globally, there is a major tares and wheat process happening right now. The Lord is leading us into a season of deep planting so that we can bear fruit well in the days to come.
