THIS IS ANOTHER “SHAKE OFF THE SNAKES INTO THE FIRE” MOMENT

I woke up this morning hearing this very simple phrase: “Shake the snake off into the fire, people of God. Shake the snake off into the fire.”

I believe this word is for those who have been through a season where the attack of the enemy has been relentless, trying to bite and sting you from multiple angles. Now, I'll be honest, it’s come through people. It’s come through intentional Christian witchcraft, people seeking to control, manipulate, and manage you, people seeking to poison your decision-making, leading you astray for their own benefit.

Now, we understand that people aren’t our enemy. We don’t wrestle with flesh and blood, but rather with principalities and powers. Still, this has been a season where it’s hard to ignore that the enemy has triggered weak, insecure people, and those who have been in agreement with him, into siding with him in accusation against you. Not only that, but they’ve tried to bring you into subjugation and alignment with their compromised will.

This is the assignment that’s been against you. That’s why you’ve faced endless confusion in many of your relationships. That’s why you’ve dealt with constant warfare against your sleep, leaving you restless, foggy-minded, and heavy.

It brings confusion, conflict, chaos, and even affects your decision-making, like it's trying to control you mentally.

It can even lead to health issues and problems.

When I was going through this recently, I felt like a heavy yoke was on me, but then the Lord opened my eyes, and I saw a large constrictor trying to squeeze me! Sound like what you have been facing?

But here’s what I sense - we are at a pivotal point. We have been standing in a threshold moment where God is leading and guiding us into a new tomorrow, and this assignment is to intercept it.

Right now, there are decisions you need clarity for. And this is twofold:

The Lord is leading you into something fresh and new. This comes with a new assignment, fresh oil, and fresh anointing drawn out of the warfare you’ve been through.

The Lord is also untethering you. Anytime God intentionally untethers us from past situations and circumstances, the enemy always tries to keep us bound to them. He doesn’t want you free. He tries to use fear, confusion, or people’s opinions to hold you in bondage to what you’ve been tolerating for too long.

This is why you’re facing pressure. The Lord is trying to free you, while the enemy is trying to pen you in. And in those moments, it’s natural to feel confused because people who’ve benefited from your bondage don’t want you free. Your bondage has been their crutch. The enemy knows that if he can keep you tethered to fear of man, to appeasing people, or to not wanting to offend, you’ll never step fully into the destiny God has for you.

However, I believe this is a moment of upgrade. The Lord is pressing on those areas where you’ve allowed voices of people to outweigh the voice of the Lord. He is exposing false prophetic words, false versions of your life, and unhealthy covenants with people who don’t truly carry His heart for you.

The Season of Snakes

The season of snakes is very specific. In Acts 16:6 we see the spirit of Python on a woman who operated in divination or false power used to control people.

“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying.”

The Greek word used for divination here is πύθων (pýthōn), from which we get the English word python. In ancient Greek culture, “Python” referred to a serpent at Delphi associated with the oracle of Apollo. So this is why in Acts, the word carried both the sense of occult, fortune-telling, and a constricting serpent.

And just like a python, it tries to wrap around and squeeze the breath (the flow of the Spirit of God, the “ruach”) out of someone.

It often reveals itself in false prophecy, fortune-telling, manipulation, and counterfeit revelation, and its goal is to constrict spiritual life, suffocate prayer, and control destiny.

That’s exactly what you’ve been facing - the enemy using familiar voices and familiar people to keep you in check so you never step into fullness.

But here’s the other side: Why has this assignment come so strongly against you right now? Because God refuses to let you stay in bondage. This is a threshold moment where you can no longer tolerate religious or demonic alignments you’ve allowed in the past.

What if 90% of your warfare is connected to what you’ve tolerated?

The Lord is saying: It’s time to shake the snakes off into the fire.

Maybe you haven’t seen clearly yet what those snakes are. I pray the Lord reveals them. Maybe you’ve seen them but ignored the red flags. Maybe you’ve written off your discernment. The Lord is saying, Stop doing that. I’ve given you My Spirit and My discernment for a reason.

When Paul was shipwrecked on Malta, a snake bit his hand. The locals waited for him to die, but he shook it off into the fire and lived. In the same way, the Lord is saying: You will trample on snakes and scorpions, and nothing shall harm you [Luke 10:19]. But you must recognize the assignment and deal with it.

This is a season where you cannot give everyone access to the deep things of your heart. Not everyone can handle or steward what God is doing in you.

Guard your oil.

Guard your heart.

If you’ve been seeing the effects of these snakes, the war in your home, marriage, finances, restlessness, heaviness, torment, know this: the Lord is revealing the assignment. And He is saying to you: I’ve given you authority. Shake the snakes off into the fire.

Now, this can also take some practical steps to reinforce your discernment, such as being wary of who knows everything about you and your process.

Are you casting your pearls?

Is your heart wide open for people to access?

Are you answering and pandering to the masses that feel an unhealthy entitlement to your life?

The snakes are sent to poison you and take you off course! Don’t let it prosper!

Here’s my personal revelation - get above the snake line.

Ascend the Hill of the Lord [Psalm 24] until the snakes cannot reach you. As you do, clarity will return, and you will easily see what has been at play.

I pray over you that the Lord gives you discernment, dreams, and next-level intel to expose where the snakes are coming from, so you can cut off their heads, shake them into the fire, and move forward with your voice, authority, and destiny restored.

This is your threshold moment. Step into the new day that God has prepared for you, the very thing the enemy is terrified of, in Jesus’ name.
