WATCH FOR THESE SIGNS OF SABOTAGE RIGHT NOW…

In a time of rebuilding the walls, and even for those in a season of building what God has called you to build, I felt it was important to remind you of the warfare that almost certainly comes when you are in a time of growth and expansion– the Sanballats and Tobiahs!

Like in the story of Nehemiah 4, Sanballats and Tobiahs will always show up to PROTEST and SABOTAGE what you are building, so don't be surprised when they do. They are often disguised as ones familiar to you.

However, I want you to remember this one key phrase– it will help you through all the distractions and discouragements: "I am doing a great work, I cannot come down." (Nehemiah 6:3)

Refuse to go down to them, and stay FOCUSED on the work that God has called you to do. You WILL complete the work set before you. Don't give up.

Have you noticed this in this season of your life?

In a season of growth, expansion or restoration, the Sanballats and Tobiahs will always appear... (Nehemiah 4:1)

They come to discredit the work, and make you question if you heard from God… (Nehemiah 4:2)

They come to sow discord and doubt... amongst your fellow builders... (Nehemiah 4:3)

They mock what God is doing through you... (Nehemiah 4:1)

When all that doesn't work... they will become enraged against you... (Nehemiah 4:7)

Their names mean:

Sanballat: Sin has given life. This is a name of Mesopatomium origin, and speaks of those outside of the Church who will oppose you in the work. The sin that gives life often arises out of envy.

Tobiah: YHWH is good. Tobiah speaks of those who are supposed to be brothers in Christ who should be involved in the work of rebuilding, but instead, turn into enemies from their own insecurities and envy.

Look for these signs:

  • Unexplained discord amongst those you are building with... there's a feeling of disconnect and disjointedness that you can't explain.

  • A sense of intimidation and hopelessness with what you are building. What once brought you excitement, now feels tiresome.

  • The feeling of wanting to give up and throw it all in. This is a huge red flag of witchcraft and false accusations being spread against you.

How to overcome this attack? KEEP BUILDING! Refuse to come down from the wall...

"I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down." (Nehemiah 6:3)
