WORD FOR OCTOBER - THE WINDS OF CHANGE ARE BLOWING!

October is a month of EXCHANGE that births a GREAT CHANGE in your life.
It's a month God is bringing a rapid, sudden, EXPONENTIAL CHANGE to those who come to the THRESHING FLOOR and lay down.
It's a LAY IT DOWN month.
It's a REDIRECT & REDEFINE month. A month where God changes your trajectory and redefines your vision, your direction, your activity and your people. It will feel like REDUCTION, but it's healing and rest.
It's a SET-APART month, a FAST AND PRAY month, and a month of FRESH VISION.
It's a DECISION month, because in October you'll either be swept away by the FALSE NARRATIVE or by the WINDS OF GOD.
The winds of God are blowing right now across the earth. They're blowing upon those God is resurrecting, renewing and pulling into a new chapter, a new season, a whole new way of life. He's blowing upon hearts that have been stony, embittered, broken and devastated, and He's giving hearts of flesh again.
“Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.” - Ezekiel 37:9
Where are the ones who have been slain in the battle of your past season? The Lord is saying over you today, “My slain will rise again.”
The days of the arm of man are over, the days where we have to be the strength, where we muscle and hustle to get things over the line. God wants to show the power of His hand. If you've felt the pushback, that's the enemy bringing the storms to rob you of this moment.
But the Father is meeting you with a ring and a robe, and He's saying,
“Come, let Me now fight for you. I am your Father. Now watch Me move in your life.”
A MONTH YOUR WOMB WILL LEAP AGAIN
The Lord is saying, “In a moment you thought you were barren, but in a second I caused your womb to leap again. I will restore life and breath to the very thing that died in your womb long ago. The survival mode I've seen you walking in must break.
I've been dealing with what has been contaminating your water source, the bitter waters, the Marah around you, and I'm cutting you loose. It will not make sense, because you'll say, ‘God, You've separated me unto Yourself.’ Yet in that place I'm budding forth the fruit.”
Intercessors, your womb is about to leap. Prophets, your womb is about to leap.
To those who saw your movement die because Jezebel stole it, the Lord is saying, “Watch as I put the keys back in your hand. This is the redo moment you've been waiting for. This time you will not forfeit it. This time you will not tolerate that spirit. I'm putting a roar inside you like a Jehu spirit, and you will not be silenced again.”
THE THRESHING FLOOR CONTINUES
In September I saw a threshing floor and this month it continues, but it DEEPENS into a space of DIVINE EXCHANGE.
It's the place of DEPARTURE from the things that are LEADING ASTRAY and GETTING BACK ON TRACK. As Christy says, we're leaving the mainstream for the slipstream.
We're in a NEHEMIAH SEASON, personally and as the church. You can look at the rubble of your past season and say, “This is too much. Everything's burnt to the ground.” But here's the revelation… God used the stones from the walls. He kept the stones. He takes the seasons you walked through and repurposes them.
“Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble, burned as they are?” - Nehemiah 4:2
The stones stay, but THE RUBBISH HAS TO GO: the pain, the baggage, the counterfeit, the old wineskin.
“The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.” - Nehemiah 4:10
So what takes the rubbish away? THE WIND.
The winds of God are doing two things right now. They're RESURRECTING you, putting muscle on your bones, fresh breath in your spirit and fresh fire on your tongue. And they're REMOVING the rubbish, the pain and trauma attached to your past season.
“His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” - Matthew 3:12
That's why it feels so tumultuous right now. Things are coming to the surface. Everything is being exposed. The winds of God are bringing you into a divine moment of decision… a divine moment of EXCHANGE.
OCTOBER'S PROPHETIC MARKERS
October is loaded with prophetic markers that align with the revelation I have been receiving, as seen through these Jewish feasts.
Sukkot (September 26 to October 2) is kept after the harvest comes in from the threshing floor and the winepress. It's the wheat and the wine, the bread and the wine, communion with God. October opens on the threshing floor, with the NEW WINE.
“Celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing floor and your winepress.” - Deuteronomy 16:13
Hoshana Rabbah (October 2) was the exact day Haggai's word came: the shaking, and then the greater glory.
“‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.” - Haggai 2:9
The threshing floor is partnership with God in the shaking, so His glory can come.
Shemini Atzeret (October 3) is when the prayer for wind and rain begins. It's Mount Carmel. God is raising up a people resurrected by His winds who will look for the cloud the size of a man's hand and call in the rain. The drought is breaking. If God is calling you to fast and pray this month, do it.
Simchat Torah (October 4) is where the old scroll ends with the death of Moses and the new one begins at Genesis 1, where the Spirit broods over the waters. It's Moses to Joshua. We're in a John the Baptist season, and there's a massive exodus from the religious system as God calls His people down to the Jordan to be baptized into the new.
“Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them.” - Joshua 1:2
On October 5 (24 Tishrei), after the wall was rebuilt, they fasted, separated themselves and confessed. The rebuilding turned into a laying down. God is UNBUILDING us so He can REBUILD us, leading us out of the independent, self-made ways of religion and back into surrender.
THE SWORD OF PURGING
We've stepped into 5787, the sword in our mouths. But it's also the sword in our hearts, purging and pruning. What keeps the sword in your mouth clean is the sword in your heart.
This month the purging is going to be STRATEGIC and to SET YOU LOOSE from areas you didn't realize were TETHERING YOU to the past.
This is a heart surgery season. In seasons past you've been swinging at darkness. In this season God is training you to be targeted, and you're going to HIT THE MARK.
A MONTH OF THE NEW NET
October is a month where God REDIRECTS you. You can't do some of the things you used to do. He's cutting away three things: the old wineskin that's no longer necessary, the counterfeit that's been distracting you, and what has been ASSAULTING you. That's why there's going to be so much deliverance on the threshing floor this month.
Stop watering what is not producing fruit.
Just as Jesus turned fishermen into fishers of men, God is changing the net in your hands. The Lord is saying, “The tools of your past season are no longer conducive for the new season. You're trying to beat a dead horse. It's not working. Ask Me, and I'll show you.”
For some of you, God is remantling you. There's a new capacity, a new authority, a double-portion mantle you haven't stepped into yet. Pick up the new net.
AREAS OF GREAT EXCHANGE
The key this month is this: THE GREAT EXCHANGE WILL BIRTH THE GREAT CHANGE.
We want God to bring the breakthrough, but we want to keep holding on to the old. If you deal with the areas where He's bringing exchange, He'll bring SUDDEN CHANGE. Here are some of the areas of exchange this month:
DELAY for SUDDEN MOVEMENT AND MOMENTUM. It's been a Daniel 10 season, where the enemy has been trying to hold up what God promised, and hope deferred has made hearts sick. It's felt like a birth that hasn't come to pass. But as you lay down what you've been holding on to, the delay will break. I heard the Lord say, “What has been trying to take years, and still has not birthed, will take a matter of weeks.”
WRONG COMPANY for MISSION RUNNERS. God wants to uncovenant you from the wrong company so He can bring you the right people. Often the ones sabotaging you are so close you haven't seen them. The exchange is what you've been tolerating for God's best. Covenant friends, not convenient friends. God is redefining and realigning your circle.
WRONG COUNSEL for THE MIDWIVES. Some voices have led you astray and talked you out of what God said, and you're wondering why you're never birthing. It often comes wrapped up in Christian counsel and scripture. God is opening eyes, and He's sending you midwives who will help you birth and hold up your arms when you're weary.
FALSE WORDS & DIVINATION for THE WORD OF THE LORD. Many have been living on the lies of many years: curses, false prophecies, and lies about yourself, God and your calling. That's why so many are stagnating or shipwrecked. Lying spirits come from a dead corpse. Will you let go of the false words spoken over you, so He can speak fresh over your life?
“For what has straw to do with grain?” declares the Lord. “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?” - Jeremiah 23:28-29
THORNS for A SWORD AGAIN. A thorn is a wound, a trauma. You've been attacked by the wolves and called all kinds of names, and it's embedded in your heart and your words. There's no condemnation in this. The places where thorns brought you pain are about to become healing for others, and you're going to speak with honey. God is healing your tongue and putting the pure sword back in your mouth.
YOUR ACTIVITY for WHAT HE IS BROODING UPON. We've been so busy we've missed what God is doing. Stop carrying the old scrolls of an expired season. The word brood is RACHAPH, to hover like a bird over its nest. This doesn't mean stopping everything. Bring Him your activity, and He'll show you what He's on and what He's not.
WOUNDED EAGLES into SOARING EAGLES. Give Him your brokenness and your weariness, and wait on the Lord to renew your strength. For some of you, that means pausing where you've been moving fast and hard until that second wind comes. It's a month of coming up from the low places to a higher altitude.
POWERLESSNESS for VICTORY. For those who have felt weak and unable to shift anything around you, God is pouring out His might and His authority. “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:29) Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit.
And I heard the Lord say, “You're going to go back and pick up what you dropped all those years ago, in that place of betrayal, where they dragged your name through the mud. I'm washing your mantle clean. Worshippers, evangelists, prophets spat out by the system… pick it up again.”
OLD WINE, NO WINE, NEW WINE - There's the old wine, then the NO WINE, then the new wine. You've got to go through the nothing for God to fill you with His something. You've got to be the empty vat.
A MONTH OF THE SCROLL
Many of you have had no vision. October is a WINDOW MONTH, a month of the scroll, where God pours out fresh revelation and vision.
“I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me… Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.’” - Habakkuk 2:1-2
Watch and see. Write the vision. Broadcast the vision. You're going from no revelation, to sudden revelation, to prophesying from a fresh tank.
But it will come through something that feels counterproductive, like filling water jars at Cana. What is God asking you to do this month that doesn't make sense? Do it. And when the fresh manna comes, release it. Speak the new language of a new season.
A MONTH OF DECISION
In October you'll either be swept away by the false narrative or by the winds of God. Which one will you choose?
The Sanballats and Tobiahs will come at you while God is rebuilding you. Will you say, “I am too busy to come down from the wall”?
The war on October is your FOCUS. Stocktake your people, because your alignments matter so much this month. The noise will be another level, and some of it will look like great opportunities… but they're side roads.
STAY THE PATH. SHED THE FAT. Cut away the distractions. Shut the door to the monitoring spirits. Go low and quiet. Protect your pearls.
It's a COME UP AND SEE month, and God gives His secrets to His friends.
YOU WILL FINALLY MOVE ON
The Lord is saying, “You will finally move on. In October I'm bringing finality to the trauma loop, the shame, the soul ties and the rehearsal of every scene that didn't work out. I will roll back the reproach of Egypt. The hope deferred will break. The stagnation will break. You'll stop going around the same mountain. You shall know health again. You shall know joy again.”
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28
“You'll hear My voice like I spoke to Adam in the cool of the day. My suddenly shall come upon you, and you'll move into a season of great and exponential change.”
NOW HERE'S THE KEY…
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” - Isaiah 40:31
That's the key right now. The word renew is CHALAPH. It means to EXCHANGE, to change, to sprout forth. The exchange comes from the waiting (hoping) and the seeking, from laying down on the threshing floor, and in that laying down God fills you again.
The very thing you've been praying for is going to come through a different method than you've been trying. Will you die to those old methods so He can birth through you the way He wants to?
If you come to the threshing floor in October, if you make the exchange, the delay will break and the suddenly will come.
People of God, ask the Holy Spirit right now: what is the area I'm making an exchange in? Write it down. Give it to Him.
Get ready, people of God. The winds of God are blowing, and it's the great exchange that will birth the great change, in Jesus' mighty name.
