THIS WEEKEND, WAGE WARFARE WITH THE BLOOD OF JESUS!
All morning, Christy kept hearing "Wage warfare with the Blood!" and so we began talking about the power of the Blood of Jesus and how many times we have seen the power of the Blood work in impossible situations in our lives, and also in problems in the world (Such as the Red River prayer strike we mentioned a few podcasts ago).
In the Church, we can become so familiar with the finished work of the Cross and the Blood of Jesus that we forget that it's potent, it's powerful, and dangerous against the assignments of the enemy. It is our ultimate defense and weapon of warfare.
In 1 Timothy 1:18, when Paul tells Timothy to wage the good fight according to the prophecies spoken over him, I want to suggest that we can wage an even greater warfare using the Blood of Jesus than any prophetic word ever could. But a better way to say it is THE BLOOD wars for US!
So if you're facing a hopeless situation this Resurrection weekend, here are three ways the Blood of Jesus wages war for you:
It breaks demonic assignments and strongholds
Hebrews 12:24 speaks about the better covenant that speaks a better word. The Blood of Jesus breaks any inferior covenant, contract, demonic assignment, or agenda that has come against you. As we wage warfare by speaking and releasing the Blood of Jesus over those areas, then they have no choice but to give up and bow their knee, because the Blood of Jesus is the ultimate authority.
It releases blessings and protection
The Blood of Jesus is our ultimate protection because it is a COVENANT. By coming under the Blood of Jesus, we step out of being uncovered and unprotected and into covenantal agreement with the finished work of the Cross of Christ and the inheritance of God’s kingdom. It shuts doors that have been open to the enemy, brings the blessing of God, and where there has been decay and loss, it brings restoration and even direction.
It brings healing and deliverance
Any area of your life where you need healing and deliverance, the Blood of Jesus speaks a better word into those areas. It breaks curses, strongholds, and heals diseases and afflictions. It brings finality to anything trying to assail you from any side. Any word, any dart, and accusation, any fear, any wound, it all gets settled under the Blood.
That crimson flow, it is potent, it is powerful, and this weekend, I believe the Lord wants to set people free, families free, marriages free. Whatever you are facing this resurrection weekend, may the Blood of Jesus become active and at work in your life.
Take a moment, get still, and think about the specific area you need a breakthrough in. Then simply pray:
"I release the Blood of Jesus over __________ situation. I declare that every demonic assignment, every stronghold, and every open door against me is broken and the door(s) closed by the Blood of Jesus. I come under the covering of Your Blood and into full covenant relationship with you, Lord Jesus, and in that I receive blessing, protection, healing, and restoration. The Blood of Jesus speaks a better word over my life, and I declare it is actively warring against every obstacle and hopeless situation I am facing, in Jesus’ name!”
