THE SPIRIT OF GLOOM BREAKS THIS WEEK IN JESUS NAME!

I have a prophetic word for you this week that I need to prophesy from the heart…

There has been a spirit of gloom that has been trying to settle over you for some months now and this week it needs to break.

Just a few days ago I was sitting in worship when the Lord began to speak to me about the spirit of gloom, and how it had been trying to settle over those He was raising up in this season to break ground and bring forth His purposes in the earth. 

It has primarily been targeting the forerunners and the pioneers who have been through a long season of saying yes to the Lord. And because of their yes, it had been costly. It had led them into back-to-back battles and compiling moments of hope deferred over many years.

The Lord showed me that coming into 2026, many were struggling to reconcile all of the seasons that felt painful and costly. Feeling the tension of being drawn into something fresh and new, yet suddenly finding themselves in the battle of all battles in their mind — Fear and foreboding. Anxiety waking them up daily. Panic attacks. Fearing outcomes that were irrational and looking around the corner, waiting for the next fire to come and decimate them.

I need to be direct about what I saw— This spirit of gloom was inviting a spirit of death. People not only wanting to give up, but crying out, "God, I cannot live at this level of suffering and anguish and despair anymore. It is killing me. It is crushing me. I have lost my joy. I have lost my peace. I have lost even the reason I am doing this in the first place."

I saw these people not only wanting to lay down the mission God had given them but they didn’t want to live anymore. This is how serious this demonic torment has been yet few are talking about it.

I just see people right now who feel surrounded on all sides saying "God, I do not know how much longer I can handle this multifaceted attack against my mind, against my health, my finances, my family, my marriage. It is coming from all sides and I feel like I am constantly just trying to put out every single fire as it comes." 

And I have seen like a heavy cloud had been placed over them, and that cloud was prophesying. It was prophesying bad outcomes. It was prophesying fear and causing people to rehearse the agenda and propaganda of the enemy.

The Lord said to me, "Prophesy over them for the gloom, the anguish, and the torment to break this week."

There has been a mental health epidemic that has increased in 2026, because the enemy knows that if he can seize people's minds, it will stop their voice and stop them from moving into position for what God has for them. 

But I heard the Lord say, "It looks like it is breaking them, but I am bringing them into breakthrough. Even now I will use this to deliver them from those long-time assignments and generational bondages that have claimed their minds. I am going to make them unbreakable. And as I break this cloud off their minds, they will never again come under that yoke, and they will become a hammer of breakthrough against the very epidemic that sought to keep them in bondage."

This is a breakthrough season, not a breaking season. It looks like breaking, but God is remaking you. The Lord is pulling you out from the old and bringing you into the fresh flow of His Spirit.

This spirit of gloom has been released over the body of Christ to keep the church stuck because when the gloom is there, you do not hear hope. You do not feel peace. You do not feel connected to God. It only stirs up the things that did not work out. The abandonment, the pain, the loss, the grief. It has come to steal your voice, to tame you down, to put you in survival mode so you lose your ferocity and your fight.

Many have been just like Elijah in the cave, saying, "Lord, it would be better if I were dead" (1 Kings 19:4).

Yet the Lord brought him back to the still small voice and broke that assignment of death. That is exactly what He is doing for you right now.

The Lord is saying over the church, "Give Me room, and I will break that gloom. Drown out the tormenting voice of the enemy with My voice, and you'll get back your mind. 

Break it with the Word! Break it with worship like David singing before Saul that caused the tormenting spirit to leave!

As I write this, I hear that in this week don’t roll over and accept the bad report and the endless flurries of fear and the lies trying to bring you into INSANITY… I saw a fragmentation of the mind that was the result of this covert assignment pulling and tugging people over and over throughout many years. 

Have you felt that fragmentation in your mind? Beyond confusion or double-mindedness, have you felt fragmented like a broken mirror, shattering your identity, your vision, and disconnecting you from God’s heart?

Let me prophesy through this scripture:

“Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past, He humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future He will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan. The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy, they rejoice before you, as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder. For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.” - Isaiah 9:1-5

The Lord says:

1- The Spirit of gloom is breaking!

2- You are coming out of the season of darkness (not seeing clearly).

3- I am only going to INCREASE you through this.

4- Your joy and peace will be restored.

5- You won’t be oppressed anymore.

6- You will look back in the years to come see this season only fueled you and set you up.

So right now, I command this spirit of gloom, the spirit of death, for the defeat, heaviness, anguish, hope deferred, foreboding fear, worry, torment, anxiety, oppression, and victim mentality to break in the name of Jesus! 

Put your hands on your mind and declare, “GLOOM, LEAVE IN JESUS’ NAME!”

This is a week to go back to what God has spoken over you and shake off this assignment once and for all.
