THIS WEEK BLOCK OUT THE NOISE!
I woke up in the middle of the night last night simply hearing the Lord say, “This week, keep your eyes on Me.” I felt the weight and the fear of the Lord over it, as if there is something very strategic about this week that the enemy is trying to disrupt. I believe there’s an assignment being released, and if we don’t keep our eyes on Jesus, we risk being pulled off track.
In the spirit, I can see multiple storms trying to collide, coming together to form a kind of mega spiritual tornado that’s leading many in the body of Christ off course. If our eyes are not on Him this week, our focus will shift from His presence to the storm.
In fact, a few nights ago, I had a dream where I saw social media erupting in November in an even crazier storm of noise. Some truth, but mixed with demonic propaganda, suspicion, slander, and ultimately Christian witchcraft, and the accuser of the brethren in the midst, cackling with joy that he had lured people into false righteous tirades. But then voices of truth rose up with the WORD OF THE LORD that neutralized the storm.
Why would the enemy do this? To lead the Church off track in a critical moment. It’s divide and conquer.
There are seasons when spiritual and demonic activity seems to intensify, when it feels like everything around you is shaking. These are the moments the enemy wants to use to distract us, to get our eyes off what really matters, and to pull our attention away from what God is doing.
This week, you must block the chatter. Block the slander. Block the fear masquerading as truth. Block the bad report. Because not every voice deserves your focus, only His does.
I’ll never forget one of the most significant moments of our lives. In 2022, Christy and I were in Australia, and we had just received our renewed visas to return to the United States when, suddenly, multiple prophetic voices, apostles, and even family members began to come out of the woodwork, warning us not to go back.
They said, “It’s not God’s will. What are you doing?” They began to speak against us, even saying “Thus saith the Lord,” trying to convince us that we were acting out of the flesh or out of wrong motives.
For three months, we were in a battle, standing, praying, and drawing boundaries. We had to stay in the Word and stay in God’s presence just to keep our peace. It felt like the storm around us was thick, and every possible situation seemed to rise up to stop us from moving forward.
Then one day, in mid-December, I received a word from a good friend who didn’t know the situation. She said, “I had a dream where you were surrounded on either side by noise, carnivals, and circuses, but I saw you walking down a narrow road. And the Lord said, ‘Nate and Christy, block out the noise and keep your eyes on Me.’”
That word cut straight through the confusion. And I believe God is saying the exact same thing to us right now.
This week and in the days ahead, there will be multiple storms that the enemy tries to pull you into. There will be distractions and situations demanding your attention, but don’t give them your focus.
There will be fake news, fake storms, and fake fires.
There will be moments when the enemy wants you to lock eyes with the problem, the bad report, or the fear, but this is the moment to lock eyes with Jesus.
When you fix your eyes on Him, you stay tethered to Him, and He will lead you out.
This is the time to grab the hem of His garment and not let go. It doesn’t matter what storm you’re facing or what situation is flaring up in your life right now; stay focused on Jesus.
And this week, I prophesy in the mighty name of Jesus that every noise will be disarmed, every distraction silenced, and you will come out on the other side with favor, breakthrough, and blessing in the mighty name of Jesus.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” - Isaiah 26:3
