God is exposing the spirit of sabotage that has been working against you secretly for years.
sabotage
/săb′ə-täzh″/
The deliberate destruction of property or obstruction of normal operations, as by civilians or enemy agents in a time of war.
The deliberate attempt to damage, destroy, or hinder a cause or activity.
A deliberate action aimed at weakening an enemy through subversion, obstruction, disruption, and/or destruction.
For the past year, God has been going after the foxes in your garden and opening your eyes to see where the thief and the robber have been covertly and secretly robbing you and depleting you for years to prevent you from fulfilling your God-ordained assignment and calling.
However, I've noticed over the past year the Lord has been raising a standard against and exposing it in your life.
The Lord's been revealing to you the areas that have been hidden for years that have been Trojan horses in your life and calling, depleting you, and preventing you from fulfilling what God has placed upon your heart. And you've known there's been warfare.
You've known that it's been an assignment of the enemy; however, it's been so hidden and embedded in areas and places around you that you didn't expect it and you never saw it.
But the Lord's been opening your eyes. He's been showing you the access points. He's been showing you the places that the lies have gotten in, and where you allowed people in that were saboteurs.
Why? The enemy releases the spirit of sabotage to slowly and incrementally divert you away from the place you're meant to be in.
The spirit of sabotage is sneaky. It tries to lead you to a different door — a faster option, an easier route, an easier way, a less confrontational version of Kingdom.
The spirit of sabotage comes in the form of familiar voices. It comes as insight and wisdom, yet it leads you into partnership and alignment with the robbery of your calling, because it actually feeds off the purity of your anointing, and you give it for the sake of not feeling alone in the call.
David experienced this with Saul, where Saul was sabotaging his assignment, and many times in his life, such as with his own son Absalom. David uses the word “snare” many times in the Psalms because he knew this intimately.
Paul speaks about this in 1 Thessalonians 2:18, where he said that he was hindered by Satan.
This word hinder is the Greek word egkoptó, and BibleHub says that it's derived from a verb that literally pictures "cutting into" someone's path, a force that blocks, interrupts, or slows forward movement ordained by God.
The word also means to be cut, fragmented, bringing grief and tragic loss. And that's how many have felt and not known why.
And it brings about a frustration and fragmentation that feels hard to discern the source of, and then over time, a "paralysis" kicks in from constantly hitting up against a wall. Sound familiar?
That is the assignment. That is the spirit. It's where you're trying everything to push into your calling, but you're getting frustrated because nothing is working. You're getting pushed back, and no matter what you do, you're facing complete shut doors, no grace, no anointing, and you begin to doubt that you are actually called and anointed at all.
Daniel faced it with the Prince of Persia in Daniel 10.
Job's friends were saboteurs, and they came in the guise of wisdom to infect his mind slowly over time. This has been one of the most common ways I have seen this play out through wrong alignments and allegiances to people who have agendas and are not for you, as they say, and so are being used by the enemy to lead you off course.
It's to poison your anointing and put flies in the ointment.
It's to lure you out of your grace so you face relentless attack.
It's to distract you enough that you forget what you were meant to do.
All the while you are looking for the source in the wrong places, when your front and back doors are open.
Have you had dreams of being in a car or some kind of vehicle in the past few years? Were you in a crash, or was someone was leading you in the wrong direction?
Imagine your car being robbed - the tires removed, the engine removed, and the windows smashed. That's the spirit of sabotage, and that's what God has been showing you.
The car is your mission and purpose, and it's been under fire and is slowly having the oil and fuel drained from it. But no more!
I believe one of the strategies of this hour to counteract it is fasting and prayer, because that's what begins to reveal the snakes.
Fasting and prayer reveal the access points.
Fasting and prayer bring you back into realignment with God's plan.
Fasting and prayer shut the doors that have been open to this spirit of sabotage.
And God has been opening your eyes to it; He's been showing you what has been too close for you to see.
He's been showing you the insecurities and the fears that you've been in partnership with that have allowed this spirit into your life.
And I even heard the Lord saying right now, “Watch as I restore what's been robbed through these past years and GET YOU BACK ON TRACK!”
Because I see it's been about a 3 to 5-year window of sabotage, where so many people have said, "God, all I've seen is Ishmael after Ishmael, and problem after problem."
You may have walked through wrong doors and its ro’s robbed you dearly. You may have aligned or partnered with something that looked good but wasn’t underneath. You may have been led astray by the wrong voices.
And what happens is, when you have been a victim of the spirit of sabotage for so long, you feel like a failure. All you can see is where you allowed it in. All you can see is where you are the problem, where you should have been wiser, where you should have been more discerning, where you should have been more clued in to what was happening, and so you begin to doubt yourself and whether you even qualify to fulfill the call of God.
And so what happens is you go into hiding, because you feel like you can't be trusted to fulfill this calling. But I want to say this right now - shake this off. Shake it off. Open your eyes to see this spirit, and shake it off this week. Don't allow the enemy to rob you anymore.
In the next six months, what we're going to actually see is the Lord going even deeper to reveal the deeper network of the enemy's assignments against your life. You're going to see the web that's being spread before you, the trap that's been set before your feet, and the Lord is going to bring clarity and freedom, and you will escape the snare so that you can get back on track, restore what's been robbed, and step into the fullness of your calling in Jesus' name.
"Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence." - Psalm 91:3
“Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers, from the snares they have laid for me." - Psalm 141:9
“We have escaped like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped." - Psalm 124:7
