DON’T GRIEVE WHAT WAS KILLING YOU.
Last week, I shared a word about five things that you received when battling the Jezebel spirit, but I had a dream last night that I felt like the Lord was urging me to warn and also encourage the body of Christ with this week on this same topic as we are transitioning into a new chapter.
In the dream, I was a guest at someone’s house. Suddenly, I noticed that there was a wolf circling their porch, so I said to them, “Did you realize there’s a wolf outside?” And they replied, “Oh yes, it’s harmless though.”
Then they started telling me all about the issues they were facing, that they kept losing their chickens and pets and didn’t know why.
I said, “But there’s a wolf outside!” but they just couldn’t put two and two together, and again they said, “It’s completely harmless.”
So lastly I said, “Nothing will change unless you realize you have been allowing this predator access it shouldn’t have and remove it.”
End of dream.
When I woke up, I felt such a burning in me, “CHURCH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? KICK IT OUT!”
You see, we are coming out from under a normalized culture of demonic predation and having our front doors open!
And I feel like we as Christians have been tempered through religion to not confront spiritual assignments. We tend to apply Christian passivity and niceness even toward the enemy, and we’re treating him too nicely when he’s trying to destroy us. We’re treating demonic assignments kindly instead of expelling them and casting them out.
What this has created is a cultural Stockholm Syndrome in the body of Christ, where we don’t know the difference a lot of the time between a wolf and a lion. We’re allowing the wolves and the foxes to come and steal from our vineyard and our lives constantly.
ARE YOUR DOORS OPEN?
In fact, many have even installed a doggy door in the doors of our homes, but say, “Well, our doors are closed.”
You’re right, your door is closed, but you’ve created another way in.
Right now, I believe the Lord is exposing this to us and allowing us to see where it’s been so destructive and where it has been taking us out.
God has been opening our eyes to see where we have allowed wolves in, even in the name of Christianity, covering, and submission, and all these things that look religious and look nice, but it’s actually a Trojan horse.
Right now, the Jezebelic assignment is being exposed for what it really is.
It’s after your legacy.
It’s after what you’ve been building with God.
It’s trying to scatter you.
The enemy has been sending in whirlwinds and familiar spirits constantly to distract you and rob you.
And we are rapidly gaining wisdom about it.
This week, I feel like the Lord is saying, “Shut the door!” Don’t play nice with this anymore.”
You’ve got to rise up and realize these assignments aren’t just little distractions. They’re trying to uproot you completely from what God has for your life.
I keep seeing this picture of the Lord fortifying walls around you and raising up a banner and a new standard over you. He’s pulling you higher.
You’re beginning to see all the webs and all the devices of the enemy that have been after your life, but instead of tolerating them as we have in the past, we are coming out from under them.
COME OUT FROM UNDER HER!
Yes, every assignment, but especially the subtle and pervasive Jezebel spirit, and the Lord says over you this week, “Come out from under her in Jesus’ name.”
“Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues.”- Revelation 18:4
Yes, you have been plagued by being connected to it, under it, and allowing it.
But many people right now are coming out from under her. They are coming out from places that have put them in bondage.
You are coming out from so many multilayered areas of bondage that this assignment has woven around your life.
In the middle of that, you’re saying, “God, I feel lost,” and there’s a part of you that’s grieving. You’re grieving the very thing that put you in bondage because it feels familiar.
Notice the wording. It feels familiar. That familiar spirit works in conjunction with the Jezebel spirit to lure you back into its lair in a season where God is breaking you out.
God is trying to lead you forward, and you’re grieving familiarity. What are you actually grieving? You’re grieving the fact that things are changing. Relationships are changing.
What is God actually doing? He’s exposing where relationships and people around you have been draining from you and stealing from you for so long.
But because we love comfort and clarity and having our ducks in a row, there is a part of us that would prefer to go back to Egypt rather than face the unknown of the Red Sea.
Right now God is saying, “No. I’m breaking this spirit once and for all. I’m breaking this assignment once and for all. Stop grieving what’s killing you. Stop grieving what’s tearing from you. Stop grieving the very things that are trying to keep you in bondage. That is not what I have for you.”
This week, the Lord is saying, “Come out from under her. Boldly step out.”
You have to make some decisions to burn the plow in certain areas of your life. You have to make decisions to slay the oxen in other areas.
Some of you know you have had a foot in each camp. You have a foot in Jezebel’s house and a foot in the promise. You have a foot in Egypt and a foot in the promised land.
But you cannot live like that anymore because it is killing you. It is opening doors to the enemy. It is inviting wolves and foxes to steal from you and destroy you.
Make the decision this week that you are going to double down on the call of God on your life and everything He has for you.
Step fully into the place of faith, and you will begin to notice the warfare taper off. The chatter will taper off, and the demonic assignments that have been putting you in bondage and destroying your fruit will end in Jesus’ name.
SHE IS STEALING YOUR FRUIT
Ok, but let’s talk about this some more. Jezebel isn’t just after your voice. Her long game is to steal your fruit.
In 1 Kings 21, she killed Naboth to get his vineyard. His name means prophecies and words.
Jezebel may look like she is after your voice, trying to bring strife into your family, your marriage, and shut you out of your purpose.
But that’s just the obvious - she wants the fruit of your life.
She wants to dry up the brook, the fresh manna, revelation, promises, vision, family legacy, and the seeds of destiny God has given you so that you don’t produce fruit. You don’t birth. You don’t see the delivery you’ve been contending for.
But right now, the enemy’s games and covert narcissism are being exposed so you can get back your vineyard and bring forth the harvest from your hardest years of surrender.
Do you hear what I am prophesying?
God has been trying to get you to die to the thing that’s been killing you.
You cannot keep living tethered and loyal to the thing that has been robbing you in the background for years.
It’s religious Stockholm Syndrome, and God has too much ahead of you for you to keep calling something safe that is not.
It’s woven into relationships that aren’t for you. It’s in circles you weren’t called to. It’s in assignments you’re hustling that God isn’t on.
It’s in old seasons and old methods that carry no glory. It’s even where you’re refusing to let go of what you built yesterday that God is asking you to lay down.
Let me also say this. If it’s not anointed for now, then it’s an idol and a chain around your feet. I know it’s a lot to surrender when you already feel like you have laid down so much.
But this isn’t to subtract from you. It is to free you from the many snares that have been opening you up for years. We are unlearning “healthy” right now, and this is the process. We are unhitching ourselves from the cycle of toil and cost that doesn’t produce fruit.
This week, come out from under it once and for all. I am praying that even as you read this, your eyes will be opened and you will get clear instruction to know how to move ahead and UNHITCH from your past season of spiritual clutter in Jesus’ name.
