2025 WAS A YEAR YOU DIED TO THE OLD.
Today I’m going to prophesy over you.
We had just wrapped up a podcast recording, and I was turning off the lights and standing there in the dark. I heard the voice of the Lord BOOMING in my spirit, and He said:
“2025 will be known as the year you died to the old. It will be remembered as a year that the Church left Egypt behind and stepped into the new wine.”
But those words lingered and reverberated - the year you died…
I felt it deeply. And maybe you do too because that’s exactly what happened.
We went through a level of warfare that we hadn’t known before, and it was beyond crushing and pressing, beyond a dark night of the soul.
You walked into the valley of the shadow of death and set up a tent.
You went into a season of constant fire after fire after fire.
The enemy could see it - 2025 was an impasse. A crossover point that, if you made it through, you would be unstoppable.
If you didn’t give up while the battle was raging, you would break into a whole new chapter of freedom and health you haven’t known.
You would close doors that were silently and subtly robbing you for years and enter into a doorway of fresh revelation, foresight, and vision for the days ahead.
But only if you made it through the “tomb” season and came out the other side.
Because many still feel like they are there right now. Numb. Defeated. Covered in grave clothes and unable to see a future and a hope.
But it’s not the death you think it is.
Sure, the enemy wanted to hijack it and make it appear that 2025 was his year of orchestrated assault and assassination, but God’s plan all along was to GET YOU TO DIE to everything that had been HOLDING YOU BACK FOR YEARS!
The old wineskin.
Religious mindsets.
Lies and counterfeits.
Familiar spirits wrapped in wrong relationships.
Jezebelic control and mental prisons.
Old insecurities and fears.
Your past.
The old you…
I look back at 2025, and I feel like I didn’t just die, but God gave me eyes to see the things I wasn’t seeing before.
He gave us glasses to see the spirit realm and our spiritual lives in a way we weren’t seeing to our detriment for years.
God turned the light on so we could see that we had OUTGROWN the room we were in and could now see the new door opening.
So the battle became real because the enemy was afraid of you finding freedom, because if you did, you would no longer be controllable, manageable, and triggerable.
But if you haven’t quite gotten there yet and you still feel like the tomb has been your home, here is a word of hope - freedom is coming. You are unravelling the past, whether you see it or not.
That’s why it’s been coming to the surface.
God is dealing with what was killing you for years and destroying it!
So that’s what really is dying. The old you. The old wineskin in you. The old mindsets. The soul ties to people and places. Grief and pain. Trauma and generational bondage.
And now I hear the Lord calling you out like Lazarus, “Come forth! Leave your sickbed behind! Leave your past behind!”
And I hear the Lord saying, “Do you not feel My Spirit resting over you, brooding over you in this new day? For I am now calling you out of the depths of Sheol, you have been in and into who I have called you to be! From this moment forward, you will not remember or be yoked to the things of the past, but I am bringing you back into My presence and into the finished work of the Cross and the finality of My Blood!”
And as I am typing this, I keep hearing chains shaking. This year may have been a battle, but it’s been breaking chains you had tolerated for years.
I keep hearing this scripture.
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” - Romans 8:18
So let me end this here.
The suffering came, but the GLORY is about to be revealed through YOU in Jesus’ name!
