YOU AREN’T CRAZY. THIS IS WARFARE PTSD & THIS IS HOW YOU DEAL WITH IT…

If you are Christian but you live with a deep sadness or heaviness that doesn’t seem to ever lift – the Lord showed me that this is warfare PTSD…

Oh and He wants to break it… for good.

This is where your past season of continuous spiritual warfare starts to retrain your thought processes, emotions, and even override your spirit man to read everything through a battle weary lens.

It’s where you don’t see anything but bombs and smoke for years with a few breaks for fresh air in between and you start to set up camp there and become almost accustomed to it.

It’s where your soul slowly over time begins to allow your surroundings to infiltrate it until you are not as internally healthy as you once were.

It’s where the witchcraft chatter and poison of betrayal begins to seep into places of your heart that compromise your ability to communicate effectively with the Lord the way you once did.

That’s when your dreams begin to look more like a bloody action movie than dreams of destiny, purpose, and connection with God.

It’s when you see so much mess around you that the lies of the enemy start to sound true - “You messed up and this is your punishment!”

It’s when fear greets you as you wake and foreboding tries to smother you before you even step out the door.

It’s when you get to such a place of internal torment and grief that you no longer see in color, hear the birds, or know how to sit still in His presence.

It’s when you are in such a state of anguish and paralyzing tormenting thoughts that even after the battle you feel like can never seem to leave it.

“My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught because of what my enemy is saying, because of the threats of the wicked; for they bring down suffering on me and assail me in their anger. My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death have fallen on me. Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me.” –Psalms 55:2-5

You are numb… shellshocked, and reliving every painful moment wondering where you went wrong.

Did you detour along the way? Did you miss God somewhere?

No. You walked through the valley of the shadow of death.

You visited ziklqg.

You have been in Gethsemene.

But, this isn’t the end of the road. Just a season of your greatest wilderness test.

It’s been 4-5 years of hope deferred, trying to prophesy you back into the hole God rescued you out of, but it’s time for trees of life that inevitably come after the night is over.

But first, God is dealing with this PTSD in so many right now.

How? Let me break it down.

You have to recognize that there are two areas to deal with – the spiritual assignment against you and your own soul that needs to healing.

What is the spiritual assignment? It’s actually the spirit of fear that’s been after you to disable and disarm you. That strongman of fear produces the debilitating torment and terror that runs in a loop every day leading you into that sickly anguish and heaviness that doesn’t want to shift.

It affects your mind – keeping it stuck like a record needle, and your body in a constant state of high alert never being allowed to come down which the leads you into burnout and sicknesses that develop from long term stress.

The spirit got in through wearing you down in the battle. Like Goliath shouting his taunts, it comes as an intimidator and hits you over and over until you believe it. Then over time you become consumed by the very words that were spoken over you.

And the spiritual fruit of fear is that it tries to revive the orphan spirit, rejection, and abandonment.

Pray with me…

Father, you did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind and that’s your intention for me, not this demonic loop I have been in.

Spirit of fear, I recognize you. You came in through the battle and you gained a foothold through wearing me down and triggering my weaknesses but your assignment ends today. I renounce you and every agreement I made with you in my exhaustion.

Torment, LEAVE. Terror, GET OUT. I command you off my body. And foreboding fear, get off my future. Every internal alarm you switched on, I shut it down and my body and mind can now come into rest.

Heaviness, despair, and anguish, your assignment is broken. Orphan spirit, rejection, abandonment, I cut you off. I am a child of God, accepted and never alone or walking through this cast off or as an exile.

Every word the enemy spoke over me, every lie that said “this is your punishment,” I cancel it now. It will not become my identity any longer.

Fear, torment, terror, your spell is BROKEN. Your assignment is OVER. GO now, in the mighty name of Jesus, and do not return.

Now Holy Spirit, fill every empty place and restore me. Fill me afresh and baptize me in FIRE. I am covered by the blood and FREE, in Jesus Name!

Secondly, you have authority over your soul and get to determine your soul state and surrender it to the Holy Spirit.

How? David spoke to his soul..

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.” –Psalms 43:5

Speak to your soul– Soul, be whole, in Jesus name! No longer fragmented or shattered, fractured, or in grief. Poison leave now! I choose to forgive those who betrayed me in battle and I choose to trust God that there’s a tree of life beyond the battle I walked through. I will not stay stuck here, in Jesus name. Come in line now with the word of God and the spirit of God that I am surrendered to.

And lastly, recognize something deeper at play – you are being leveled up.

You only hit these moments in threshold seasons and the greatest marker of this is the warfare you experience.

The enemy doesn’t attack people who aren’t a threat. So this means recognizing that there’s also a part of this where the Lord is leading you on of an old operating system and wineskin and bringing you higher.

This requires a militant stance. Shaking off the old seasons stance and developing a new prayer life. Running into the presence and letting Him refresh you and give you fresh hope and a word for your next season.

And on the other side of this, seeing God anoint you powerfully.

Jesus left the wilderness filled with the power of the Spirit and you will too!

I’ll land here – When David was in the cave of Addullum and was “stuck,” the prophet Gad said to him:

“Do not remain in the stronghold; depart, and go into the land of Judah.” –1 Samuel 22:5

I want to speak this to you – In the name of Jesus, LEAVE that stronghold and come OUT! Warfare PTSD, your assignment is OVER and are no longer allowed to assault them and keep them in this LULL and disabled state. Your spell is broken henceforth in the mighty name of Jesus, because they are covered and redeemed by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB!
