WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE…
People want to know - Where do we go from here?
My inbox is filling up with people asking us - Where are you from here? We feel fire we haven’t before. We feel a conviction we have never felt. We feel the shift and don’t want to be left behind, but what do we do beyond this point? If that’s you, here are a few things to help you know what your next move is.
Firstly, take your grief, fire, and deep conviction into the secret place and kickstart a fresh prayer life and next-level relationship with God. Don’t let your righteous anger and ferocity become just action.
It needs to be grounded in prayer and dialogue with God. Ask Him to lead and guide you. Pray and seek the Lord every day, and He will show you your steps daily.
Next, build an altar in your home and fix up any cracks that have allowed the enemy in. Let God heal the places of your heart, marriage, and home you haven’t defended. Before you even think about swinging your sword in public, let God do a deep work in you in private. Do business with God. Let him break the mindsets. The patterns. The cycles. Then watch God bring revival to your family life where it’s been in tatters.
Recognize that something has changed, but personally and also in the church corporately. You can't go back, and you know it. Your eyes have been opened, and you can’t ever unsee or shut the door on what has opened in your heart in the last week. With that comes the death of an old era, but it’s also the brand new dawn of a new chapter, too.
No more playing the religious game. Going to church on Sunday is not being a Christian. Your days of pew sitting are over. Recognizing that being a spectator no longer cuts it is going to unhook you from so much manipulation, coercion, and control from people trying to convince you to chill out when God is using this to break you out and burn brighter. Stop allowing caution and safety to guide you when God is stirring you.
Your faith needs to be shared every day. The reason you feel convicted so deeply is that Charlie shared his faith in dark places. Preaching to the choir is not what you are called to. Finding people in your day-to-day that you can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with will keep you sharp and flowing. Your testimony is a weapon. Use it!
Be bold and drown out the fear of man. The number one reason people are silent is fear of man. Fear of what culture will say. Fear of being canceled or your reputation tarnished, but Jesus asks us to lay down our lives for Him. Being bold for Christ is a form of worship. The more you do it, the easier it gets. And right now apathy is breaking off the Church, and the righteous roaring lions are rising up!
Talk about the hard things. Talk about what others won’t, especially what the complacent parts of the Church run from. This is a fresh hot coal season where God is decommissioning the seeker sensitive mindset and calling the Church into ruling nations and being watchmen on the walls. You get to speak into issues and, more importantly, speak TRUTH into them.
On that note. Refuse to let the enemy tell you this is political when there is a battle of good vs evil waging at your doorstep. You are going to have to discern so much better in the days to come, so that you don’t get shut down in the face of this ugly war raging around the globe. Stand firm! Live above the noise and don’t let the enemy bring confusion or put a lid on you ever again.
Get specific. Ask the Lord what you are called to do or say in this time. Seek the Holy Spirit for direction and clarity, and decide to stop waiting around until all your ducks are in a row. Instead, step out by faith. A good indicator of what you are called to is what grieves you, and also what the enemy attacks you most in. Be faithful with this and watch God multiply it.
Confront darkness. Being in a spiritual battle, you will soon realize that you don’t wrestle flesh and blood but principalities and powers. So while the earth is raging and people are falling prey to ideologies, agendas, and demonic propaganda, you see through it all to the real enemy. People are in need of deliverance, and you are anointed to set people free. So in your pursuit of speaking truth, go to the next step and watch as captives leave their cages.
Find people to burn with. This is a time that, while polarizing, it’s actually a great revealer of who you can’t run with or align with. It’s a litmus test for those who are playing the game and have been holding you back, and those you have outgrown. Instead, find those who sharpen you, fire you up, and encourage you harder onto the frontlines.
Lastly, you can’t just go back to life as you knew it. Your appetite has changed. Your affections have changed. You can clearly see what you shouldn’t be doing anymore and what is pointless Christian activity. Leave it behind. This is a burn the plow moment as God places a new mantle around you, anoints you with fresh oil, and unleashes you into the earth.
It’s time to strike the water and step into your legacy and the voice the enemy has tried to silence for years.
