WE ARE RETURNING…
So far in 2026, there has been an overwhelming demonic agenda against the body of Christ. This agenda has been a mixture of hopelessness and despair, almost like a deep heaviness, that your world is crumbling down, and it’s partially right, but let me explain.
You see, we are, right now, in a time of shaking, personally and corporately as the body of Christ, because shaking always precedes the glory.
But when things are falling apart, that’s a normal part of God bringing the Church out of bondage, sickness, decay, out of tolerating the wrong spirits, out of the old wineskin, and out of where we’ve been compromised and apathetic, so that we can actually be the pure and spotless Bride that we’re called to be.
Right now, we’re seeing the Lord confronting things personally in our lives, which has been happening for many years in the Church.
So many of us have been in a long and painful Malachi 3:3 season, where it’s like the Lord has been refining us making us as pure as gold and silver behind closed doors, but there comes another level, when that fire and that intensity has to increase, because the Lord is wanting to know if we are trustworthy to carry what He’s about to pour out.
Because if we are still tethered to the old thing, we’re not going to be able to step into the new thing that God wants to pour out. So this has been a season where the Lord has been testing our hearts and revealing what’s underneath.
THE SEASON OF THE REVEALING OF IDOLS
He’s been showing us the idols that we’ve been tolerating in our own lives and mindsets that have ruled us. He’s been asking, “Who do you serve? Do you serve Me, or do you serve other gods? Do you serve your own agenda, or do you serve My will and plan for your life?”
So if you’ve been through that season, you’re in the right place, and God is about to do amazing things. But the agenda of the enemy has been to make you feel like everything is falling apart and everything is ending, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
I keep hearing what I believe many must be saying right now, “I am at the end of my road. My greatest days are done.”
And the reason why we’re feeling that is that the very things we’ve been attached to: movements, ministries, denominations, and empires, have been shaken and crumbling down because we’ve built our lives around them instead of, in some ways, around Jesus.
And so God has needed us to enter into this space of loss, because He wants us to recognize where we’ve built foundations around the wrong thing!
But the lingering mindset is, “I’ve come to the end of the road. I don’t have a future. I’m retiring,” but I keep hearing the Lord say, “You’re not retiring. You’re in a season of returning.”
Let me say that again - you are not retiring, you’re in a season of returning.
THE FULL CIRCLE SEASON
And it was interesting because last week Christy was talking to me about the timing of right now. Ten years ago, in early 2016, Christy and I were at this impasse in our lives. We’d been a few years into a wilderness where we had been shut out from all community, blacklisted in our cities for simply stepping into our prophetic calling. And the Lord was really impressing upon our hearts to step into ministry, and we were fighting it for a little bit because it was painful.
And one day the Lord said to me, “Open up to Psalm 2.”
As I did, I found the scripture that says, “Ask, and I’ll give you the nations as an inheritance…” I remember weeping on the floor of my study that day and saying, “Lord, give me the nation of America.”
You see, we lived in America in 2009 and 2010. And when we left, we grieved leaving, because we felt like it was an assignment left unfinished. I know many people probably feel like that right now. They’re like, I feel like so many things have come to an end. So many things have died. So many things have fallen to the ground.
I remember working a government job at the time, and the Lord was asking us to come out to America as a faith step. We didn’t know what we were coming for, and we didn’t have the money for it.
And we asked the Lord if we were going to this event we heard about by Lou Engle called, The Call: Azusa Now. And miraculously, at the last minute, we had two friends reach out and give us the money we needed to fly to America and get accommodation.
It was there at Azusa Now that the Lord told us to birth the ministry He’d given us. We’d already been teaching, equipping, and sharing online, and seeing God move in miraculous ways in a short period of time, but in the midst of so much turmoil, He asked something of us that made no sense.
You see, we were pressed on every side. People were calling us crazy. What we didn’t realize at the time was that it was exactly six years to the day that we had left America, and it was our tenth wedding anniversary as well.
We had entered into the deepest season of wrestling. A season of battling so many mindsets and warring in faith. It felt like things were falling apart. It was the deepest wrestle year we’d ever felt, because we were wrestling to step into who we were truly called to be.
And I want to say this before I move on any further: I believe many are in that season right now.
Why? Because we, as a Church, are in between wineskins.
This was a full-circle moment for us personally, but the Church right now is experiencing the old fabric tearing away from the new. And when you’re in that season, you’re not going to feel like things are steady. You’re not going to feel like things are coming together. It will feel, for a while, like things are falling apart.
And at a global level, it looks like the Church is falling apart right now. But really, God is putting the Church back together.
It’s a retiring of an old wineskin, but it’s not you retiring.
It’s the death of the old manna and the old wineskin running out, but you are returning, because we, as the Church, are returning to what the Church of Acts was like again.
WE ARE COMING BACK TO WHAT MATTERS
We are returning…back to our original purpose.
Back to before we were distracted. Back to before we were taken off course by religion and the constant allure of the latest curiosity.
Back to before we fell into the constant drama of soulish swirls and cultural deception.
Back to before we started making golden calves and letting principalities influence our churches and homes.
Back to before we started building empires unto ourselves and using the name of Jesus to push our own agendas.
Back to before we put on Saul’s armor and stopped fighting the giants in our land.
Back to before we traded confrontation for comfort.
Back to family. Back to legacy. Back to health.
Back to the great commission of God’s power moving through us to heal, deliver, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, disciple people, and send out the Church.
Back to JESUS with nothing added.
Back to burning for SOULS.
And OUT OF EVERYTHING ELSE.
Right now, the conviction has never felt deeper.
So if you are being stripped back to bare bones and God is asking you to give Him everything in your hands, you are on the right track.
We’re returning to all the things that actually matter.
We’re returning to the power of the Gospel.
We’re returning to Jesus, and coming out from under our false gods and idols, and removing Jezebel from our table.
God is bringing us back to simply Him again, and that’s been the tearing. That’s been the warfare. That’s been the battle in your mind. That’s why the enemy has been trying to come at you with defeat and torment, to rob you of this moment of stepping over this ravine, over this impasse, and into your greatest days.
So let me keep prophesying for a moment…
IT WILL BE DIFFERENT
But know it will be a different kind of building.
The Lord said to me that in this season, it’s going to be a building season, like a Nehemiah moment, where God is actually rebuilding you from the ground up. But that building season is not going to look like a building season at first.
It’s going to look like an “at His feet” season, where you’re guarding your anointing, guarding your dreams, and not casting your pearls anymore.
It’s going to be a moment like Nehemiah, where they were able to rebuild the walls while guarding themselves from slander, accusation, and all the external warfare trying to sabotage the building.
So I want to suggest to you that this is going to be a year where you have to stay focused.
And how do you do that?
You stay at the feet of Jesus. You stay in the secret place. You get back your flame, your prayer life, and all of those things.
And secondly, we can’t build as we did in the past. It has to be GOD that builds the house, not man. We have to lay down our love for celebrity Christianity culture that always attracts wolves.
PROTECT YOUR FOUNDATIONS
I had some dreams in the last week where the Lord was showing me foundations being rebuilt.
In the first dream, I was looking at this fresh slab that had just been laid, and all these people were trying to put bricks on it. They meant well; they were trying to help. And I said, “Stop!” I knew it was the Lord telling me to ask them to leave. Christy and I had to sit there and build our foundation ourselves, it was just us and the Lord.
I believe this dream is speaking to all of us right now. It feels like we’re in a fresh slab season, a foundation-being-laid season, and it looks like we’re completely bare.
And if we allow everybody and everything else to come in and influence how we build, it’s going to result in building the foundation wrong.
So the warning in this season is to be so very careful about who and what influences you in this foundation season, where God is rebuilding you in a new era and a new chapter.
COME OUT FROM HER!
And the second thing I saw in the dream was a transition from the foundation scene to suddenly seeing people I know asleep. And I looked, and there was this dark figure lying in bed with them.
I said, “Lord, what is this?”
And He said, “It’s the wrong spirit. Some of My people are in bed with the wrong spirit. I need them to wake up, get out of their sleep, and kick this spirit out of their bed.”
I kept hearing the word 'embed,' like 'EMBEDDED'. A deeply ingrained thing.
And the Lord said, “Fasting and prayer are going to evict this spirit from My Church, where people are in allegiance with generational curses and deeply ingrained demonic patterns. They’re wondering why they’re experiencing warfare, robbery, and defeat over and over again. It’s because they’ve been embedded into that paradigm.”
This is a Revelation 18:4 moment, where the Lord is saying, “Come out from her, so you do not share in her sins or her plagues.”
As we do, there’s going to be a fresh joy, a release, and a deliverance as we untangle from these things.
This is happening on a personal level and on a global level in the Church right now.
We’re coming out of the religious system. We’re coming out from the Queen of Heaven’s rule and reign over our families and churches, which has brought sickness, moral failure, and decay, and made the Church a laughing stock, when we are meant to be the pure and spotless Bride.
THE RETURNING WILL RESTORE THE BURNING
And lastly, I heard the Lord say, “The returning will restore the burning.”
Let me say that again - the returning will restore the burning.
So many people’s love has grown cold in this hour. Many have fallen into selfish ambition, following their own gods and desires.
And the Lord says, “As people return to Me, fully surrendered, I will give them back the burning.”
God is restoring the burning ones in this hour.
Maybe reading this gives you hope—but it’s also confrontational. I believe it’s a moment where the Lord is saying:
“Will you say yes to the returning? Will you repent for resisting and lean into the returning? Will you surrender your idols and your gods?
Haven’t you tried things your own way long enough? And they’re not working, right?
Constant robbery. Constant defeat. Constant warfare in your mind. A sick soul.
The Lord is saying, “Aren’t you tired of that? Return to Me with all of your heart, and I will restore you.”
This is what the Lord is decreeing over the Church.
So, no, you’re not retiring. You are returning!
And you’re getting your fire back in Jesus’ name.
