THIS IS A COMEBACK SEASON
So many are in a comeback season right now.
A comeback from being burned out, slandered, and betrayed. A comeback from being under Saul’s regime for so long. A comeback from constant robbery and defeat. A comeback from being stuck in survival mode and losing their purpose. A comeback after being connected to toxic people who crushed you and took you out. And a comeback from a personal valley of dry bones season where you lost yourself.
This year has been marked by personal revival and reinvention, because God knows that unless you have an inner makeover, you will never have the freedom or capacity to cross the threshold from doormat to overcomer. And right now, God is jealously leading you out of so many situations holding you ransom. So many things are coming to a head right now. Like tens of tiny messes all depleting you slowly and poking holes in your strength.
God is opening your eyes to see where you have tolerated and allowed spiritual gaslighting, control, manipulation, unhealthy expectations, and pull from people who are not for you, nor are they meant to run with you. And God is looking meticulously over the contracts and connections of your life, and breaking anything that keeps compromising or limiting His call over and over.
He is showing you where you keep appeasing everyone and forfeiting your voice and the reason you are alive on this earth. It’s a comeback season that leads you out of every single bondage you didn’t even know you were in, it’s shedding the layers of who you have been told to be, and revealing who you really are. And I keep seeing these traumatic hallmark moments that you have rehearsed over and over being taken down.
Moments the enemy likes to remind you of to shame you and keep you from ever stepping out and being bold again, because of a moment it all fell down around you. It’s like the enemy tripped you up, and you can’t seem to let it go and let God do a new thing in you. But I am here to say it’s time for the redo. It’s time to override your past with the glorious future God has for you. What if this personal wrestle you are in right now is the fight to surrender the past and its mess so you can pick up the keys, mantle, and mission blueprints for tomorrow?
So leave the rubble behind today. Stop letting them live rent-free in your head. Forgive yourself. Confront the orphan spirit, trying to make you see yourself as a grasshopper when you are in a giant-killing season. You were born for this moment. Step over the threshold today. Give Him your mess and let Him give you back the keys to your future in Jesus’ name.
"Then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes. He will have mercy on you and gather you back from all the nations where He has scattered you... even if you are exiled to the ends of the earth, the Lord your God will gather you from there and bring you back again." - Deuteronomy 30:3-4
“When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” - Psalm 126
