SHAKE OFF THE SNAKES AS YOU CROSS OVER

So snakes have been a continual theme in 2025, because I believe God has used this year to expose the snakes - the demonic assignments that have come as a cunning voice to poison you in a year when God is preparing you, healing you, delivering you, setting you free, and moving you into the new chapter.

God has used this year to reveal where so many people have been listening to the serpent, thinking it’s the right voice, and it has been leading us astray. So God decided that this year, when the enemy is trying to war even harder against us, He was going to use this year to expose the snake once and for all.

So last night I had another dream about this, where I was seeing people trying to untangle constricting snakes from around their arms, their legs, and their necks. They were looking around, saying, “I want to step into a fresh season. I want to break out. But all my energy and focus are going into trying to untangle this, trying to figure out how I’m supposed to get free.” And in the dream, I heard the Lord say, “Get ferocious. Shake it off. Shake off what’s on you. I have too much ahead for you for you to keep coming under this spirit over and over again.”

That immediately brought Acts 28 to mind, where Paul was bitten by a viper and simply shook it off into the fire and suffered no harm.

I know this year we’ve talked about many different principalities and powers coming against the Church, but I want to talk specifically about the Python spirit. In the Bible, it talks about the spirit of Python as a false divination spirit (Acts 16:16). In our time, that translates to a counterfeit voice, the wrong voice that imitates the voice of God, insight, and revelation, and when you listen to it and come into agreement with it, it begins to choke areas of your life.

You start to feel restricted. You feel tense. You experience financial robbery. Creative block. Areas of business, life, and livelihood suddenly feel constricted, like the walls are closing in. Revelation dries up. Dreams wane. Relationships and marriages feel strained. Children’s relationships feel tense. It even manifests in health issues in the body.

One of the main words I kept hearing was imbalance. This spirit has created imbalance, leading to health emergencies, sickness, fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, and even vertigo for many people on a natural level. This constriction keeps tightening its grip.

And yes, on a spiritual level many snakes have been exposed this year such as familiar spirits, things placed around your feet to trip you up, to control you, bind you, and keeo you tethered to people and situations, but what I really want to highlight is this - as we cross over into 2026, the Lord is exposing any last snakes still hanging around, and any last areas where this constricting spirit has been allowed to remain. He wants it exposed once and for all.

So I hear the Lord saying today: "Shake the snake off right now. Shake off every area where you’ve allowed this to linger.” If you’re reading this, the Lord is going to reveal areas where you’ve become apathetic in your authority. That’s what this comes down to. It’s not that you don’t know where it’s coming from. It’s not that you don’t know what door it’s trying to use. It’s that you got tired. You got weary. You became apathetic.

That’s what I saw in the dream, people were exhausted, worn down, saying, “God, I can’t do this anymore.” They were struggling just to find the strength to shake the snakes off. And I heard the Lord say, “Put on My strength. Put on My fight. Put on My Spirit. Step out of your own strength. Activate your spirit man. Let Me fight for you. Let My blood battle for you!”

This is a moment to get on your face and say, God, I want to cross over into victory. I don’t want to cross over into more battles, more dysfunction, more fires to put out. I don’t want to cross over into more health issues, financial strain, or constant storms. I want to cross over into a year of victory.

Because let me tell you what’s coming, you’re heading for inevitable recompense from God. Even if you’ve been telling yourself, “Maybe I deserve this. I fell for it. I was baited. I was played.” No! Break that mindset right now. That thinking keeps the snake wrapped around you.

Jesus said, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm you.” - Luke 10:19

So get ferocious. Get violent with the authority God has given you. Even as you’re reading this, begin to declare it, “I refuse to come under this anymore. I refuse to partner with this anymore!”

Now let me speak to another group of people. As we cross over into 2026, I hear the Lord saying, “You’ve got to get their voices out of your head.”

This is weighty. Yes, it’s the voice of the enemy, but it came through people you know. Their words have been on repeat in your head. Words that shipwrecked you. Words that made you feel insecure. Words that stung deeply in the midst of betrayal. You want to move on, but those words linger. They are the words of the serpent.

Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.”

This is a moment where you must shake off their words.

Do business with the Lord. Bring those words before Him and say, “God, I give You these words. I no longer come under these assignments. I no longer come under these voices. Now show me what You are saying over me in Jesus name.”

The last thing I saw in my dream was a field. The Lord set fire to the weeds growing there, and as the fire burned, snakes were exposed and ran out of the field. Growing up around cane fields, I know that’s how snakes are driven out, but spiritually, the Lord was speaking. He said, “I’m removing the snakes so you can inherit and occupy the territory I’ve given you. The promises you thought wouldn’t come to pass. The dreams and visions delayed. The physical territory I told you long ago you would step into, I’m driving the snakes out so you can inherit the land entirely. So you can step into it properly. So you can see My glory and My promises manifest in your life.”

So get ready. Shake off hopelessness. Shake off fear. Shake off the snakes. And step into 2026 with the Lord in victory, in Jesus’ name.
