I HEARD THE LORD SAY TO THE WEARY, “COME DOWN TO THE JORDAN!”

I woke up to a vision this morning where I was seeing a hospital ward that was full of people, and the Lord was going to each bed and He was tending to the wounds of those who had walked through 2025 and experienced much wounding through the battle that they had been through.

And I know that many of you have stepped into a new year and don’t feel excited or ready, because you still feel like you’re walking through the pain and toll of 2025. You’re still shell-shocked. You’re still run down and battle-weary from the past year. The word that came to me was spiritual exhaustion.

See, you had to be on high alert in 2025. You walked through relational issues, you walked through health issues, and you walked through financial issues. You were having to constantly be on guard. You were down in the battlefield with your sword out, with no reprieve, no rest, no refreshing, and now you’ve stepped into a new year, and you feel defeated. You feel numb.

And right now, the Lord is saying, “Pay attention this month to what I’m doing. For January is a detox month, where I’m healing you of your wounds, and I’m leading you back into rest, to healing, and to overflow.”

And that’s what the Lord is doing right now, because you’ve been in battle, you know what it’s been like to be in that place where you’re constantly just defending and fighting.

You’re warriors. You’ve been in your warrior’s stance, but now it’s time to step into a place of refreshing where the Lord can pour out His Spirit upon you to refresh you and give you a fresh wind. That’s what God is getting ready to do.

As I was in intercession this morning, making breakfast for our kids, the word of the Lord came to me strongly, “Tell My people, come down to the Jordan.”

See, the Jordan was the place where John the Baptist was baptizing people into a new life. (Matthew 3:1–6; Mark 1:4–5).

It was a place where Jesus was baptized. The Holy Spirit came to rest upon Him, and His identity and sonship with God were proclaimed from the Heavens. (Matthew 3:16–17; Luke 3:21–22).

It was the place where the Israelites crossed over, signifying leaving an old place and stepping into the new. (Joshua 3:14–17; Joshua 4:1–7).

It was at the Jabbok Brook (which feeds into the Jordan River) that Jacob wrestled with the angel of the Lord, let his family go, and started a whole new destiny. (Genesis 32:22–30)

Jordan represents the washing away of the old and stepping into the new. The baptism unto new life. But it also represents the birthing place of the ministry of John the Baptist, which is the prophetic season that we are in right now as the Church again.

You see, you’ve been battling, but you were battling Pharaoh, you’re battling the old things, you’re battling the principalities that were in the land that you were in before, but the Lord’s taking you to a place where you’re crossing over and out of the weariness, walking in your own strength, your own fight, your own abilities, your own discernment, your own wisdom, and now the Lord says, “Come down to the Jordan, Body of Christ.”

You’re stepping out of that place. You’re stepping out of the limitations you’ve been in, and you’re stepping into a whole new realm and chapter. You’re stepping into a place where My Spirit is going to lead you. My Spirit will guide you. Your spirit man will be active. You will no longer be fighting with your head. You’re going to fight with your spirit.

“This is a season,” the Lord says, “I’m baptizing you unto a new identity. I’m baptizing you into a new destiny, putting a fresh message in your belly, and I’m bringing you into a season of overcoming and a place of victory.”

And as you come down to the Jordan, the Lord says, you will not only be healed of your wounds, but you will be completely restored AND EVERYTHING THAT CONCERNS YOU THAT WAS PILLAGED AND PLUNDERED!

I feel like even people reading this right now, the Lord is saying, all the problems you’ve been facing, the answer for that is the fresh baptism that God’s pouring out, the fresh thing the Holy Spirit is doing.

“Step into the new thing,” I hear the Lord say. (Isaiah 43:18–19)

Step into the new thing, the Lord is saying. Step into the mind of Christ again. Step into what I’m saying in the earth for you.

You’re looking at all the things that are going on around the world, the crisis, but don’t you realize that I’ve put the future in your belly? I’ve called you to live from the future to the present. I’ve called you to live from a place where you’re overcoming. You know the end of the book, and you prophesy from the end of the book to the present time.

Have you forgotten that you’re the head and not the tail, above and not beneath? (Deuteronomy 28:13)

For even right now, the Lord says, I’m healing you of your wounds. I’m delivering you out of Egypt. I’m delivering you from the place you’ve been in, and you’re leaving the synagogue. You’re leaving the place of limitation. You’re coming down to the Jordan to be birthed into a fresh new season, a fresh new life.

And I hear the Lord saying over many of you, you’ve been playing the dirge,  the funeral song, for too long. Now it’s time to play the wedding song, because this is a new hour and I’m declaring victory over you. I’m declaring victory over you as you step into that place.

Suddenly, like it says, “that since the days of John the Baptist, the violent have taken the kingdom by force” as you step into that place, a new ferocity, a new fight will come upon you, and you begin to rise up in the victory of the power of My Spirit and the finished work of the cross. (Matthew 11:12)

“My Spirit is going to annihilate your enemies before you, and you will get back the territory that you’ve lost and been robbed of in 2025,” says the Lord.

So, what are you waiting for? Come down to the Jordan. Step into your fresh destiny as a voice for this hour in Jesus’ name.
