HOW TO SURVIVE THIS NOISE STORM
I have a word of spiritual insight for you for this week. I want you to be aware of a spiritual tactic that I see the enemy doing right now against the Body of Christ that you may already be aware of.
To put it simply - the enemy’s game plan is SHOCK, DISTRACT, & ATTACK, and I don’t want you falling prey to it this week.
I remember in science class in high school being taught about what would happen to the ions in a piece of metal (or any object) when it was hit with a hammer. The ions that were previously in order get scattered and then reform again, but they are DEFECTED.
This same thing happens to us mentally, emotionally, and spiritually when there is some kind of blunt force trauma in our lives, and right now that hammer of demonic proportions is swinging up against us, and trying to SHOCK us into disarray and DEFECT us, when we are meant to DISCERN.
We’re in a moment right now where the noise of media, which is Jezebel, knows that she can not only distract you, but can actually shock you into a state of spiritual paralysis if she increases the noise. It’s like if a fire alarm is going off in your home and it’s blaring, it’s going to put you into a state of almost shock before you actually begin to act. And that is exactly what the enemy is trying to do right now.
And just a disclaimer - I’m not trying to delegitimize the issues that are taking place in the world that need addressing. There are so many dire things we need to be praying into and we need to be engaging in. The problem is that if we aren’t aware of the enemy’s agenda, we will be taken away from our role and focus DURING TIMES LIKE THESE… Which is prayer, strategy, and action/voice.
Instead, what this is actually doing is creating spiritual paralysis. It leads us into reacting and responding out of the flesh instead of the Spirit. It pulls you out of your place of peace and connection to the Father-heart of God. And out of that place, when you are in the flesh, you aren’t going to bring clarity or a solution - you’re only going to add to the noise.
Right now, Christians are the most undiscerning I’ve ever seen in my entire life on social media, thinking they’re doing righteous things, but actually just regurgitating media, Jezebel, Goliath’s taunts. We’re seeing this en masse right now.
So again, what is the enemy’s assignment? Shock, distract, and attack.
It’s a sneaky way to get the Church off its call to pray and to get strategy from the Lord.
See, we are called to speak into things, but we’d better have a strategy. We’d better have the Lord’s heart. We’d better know the right way to do it. Otherwise, nothing gets resolved, nothing gets healed, nothing gets brought into the light that needs to be.
Compromise endures. Evil endures. And Jezebel continues to spread her web of lies through the nations and leads the Body of Christ into being the forerunners and frontliners of her movement instead of what the Lord is trying to do on the earth.
It’s the illusionist’s perfect plan.
Am I saying that all the things coming to light are demonic or wrong and that we shouldn’t know about them? No, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m talking about the Church’s response to it. Our response is being triggered because the enemy is triggering us. We’re responding emotionally instead of being spiritually intelligent.
We’re taking it to the public forum, yelling and screaming about it instead of taking it to the secret place and asking the Lord, What do we need to do about this? What is our response?
Why are there so few prayer movements right now? Why are there so few prayer events where churches are holding vigils? Why are there so few prophetic roundtables strategising over what the Lord wants to do in the earth? Why are there so few apostolic movements truly engaged with these issues?
Because instead of taking it to the secret place, we’re stepping onto our little soapboxes. This is a “distract and attack” move, and it’s been happening throughout the centuries, over and over again.
You know Haman from the story of Esther; his name means "a multitude of noise." It was a time in Israel’s history where the enemy was trying to take out God’s people using a multitude of noise. And I believe we’re in that moment right now. Can you see it?
If the enemy can distract you, if he can get you operating out of the flesh instead of the Spirit, the robbery won’t just be global. It will be personal. It will be in your own life, creating storms, and we will keep calling it an attack when it’s self-inflicted.
So this week, I want to remind you of who you are. Be the voice God has called you to be. Step back into the secret place. Get back your peace. Get back your discernment. Step back into the fight fully engaged.
I hear the Lord saying right now: Church, put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20) Many have taken their armor off and have been wearing every other kind of armor. Many have been using the enemy’s weapons and It’s time to put your armor back on again. It’s time to think clearly, see clearly, and hear clearly.
It’s time to fight the good fight with God’s weapons. Not the enemy’s. Not the world’s.
Step back into who you truly are this week. Ask the Lord for dreams. Ask the Lord for visions. Ask Him to bring clarity to you. Ask Him to rid you of bitterness and offense and help you get your heart right. When you do, you’ll see clearly, you’ll respond well, and you’ll be reconnected to the Father-heart of God, not the father of lies.
THE STRATEGY
Lastly, I want to give you some very practical strategies for dealing with the current noise we’re facing.
Firstly, when the noise is coming at you, the story that keeps coming to mind is when Jesus went to Nazareth in Luke 4. People were saying, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” There was slander, and they wanted to kill Him. But it says Jesus walked straight through the crowd and escaped.
His strategy was simple: keep walking.
Right now, the enemy wants to bait you into the noise. You get baited when you feel the need to defend yourself. The strategy is simple: keep walking.
Now, regarding the noise on a global scale, there are two other strategies. But before you know which one to take, you need discernment. That means you must be in the secret place. You must get your peace back, because when there’s a lot of noise, you don’t know which way is up.
Jesus regularly withdrew to pray. I believe the greatest strategy right now comes from ascending the hill of the Lord. When you do that, the King of Glory comes through you.
You become a gate. And gates determine sound. We get to decide whether we will be gates of glory or gates of noise.
Once you’ve regained clarity and discernment, you need to ask the Lord, “Is my strategy here to pray, or to speak?” Across the board, we are called to pray. But sometimes we are also called to speak.
Jesus spoke to the storm and told it to be still. That was prayer, but He did it publicly.
He did the same when He cast the demon out of the demonized man in Mark 5.
We need to ask the Lord, “Beyond prayer, what is my role? What have You called me to say that will counteract the noise?”
Because you are called to bring the word of the Lord, and you will only know what that is if you ascend the hill of the Lord.
Remember this: your sound counteracts the noise because you carry the sound of the Lion of the tribe of Judah within you. Never forget, the Word of the LORD is a sword!
So this week, don't jump into the fight and lose yourself when you are called to COUNTERACT IT & BRING CLARITY!
