A WORD TO THE “HUNTED”
I hear the Lord saying, “Your years of being HUNTED are over!”
So many of God's people have been head-hunted in this season, meaning that the enemy has been after your head. He's been after your mind because if he can take your mind, he can lead you away from your calling, and he can keep you captive.
And we're in a transition season where the hour of Saul is coming to an end, and God is raising up the Davids. But if the Davids are under mental warfare and attack, will they rise?
And that is why you've been facing constant assault on your mind, witchcraft, foggininess, double-mindedness, scattered, fragmented, confused, fearful, in anguish, because this spiritual assignment has been sent to CRASH YOU OUT in a time God is calling you to lead the charge.
I had a dream recently where I saw this mind-blinding spirit released en masse over God's remnant. It was making them run back to the cave, run back to the devices and negative mindsets that have kept them captive for years.
What would have happened to David if he had never stepped out to rule and reign? If all he did was rehearse the pain of his years of being hunted?
But there was a moment he had to break out, and right now we're in that place. It's when David was in the cave of Addullum, surrounded by the discontented, the soul-sick, and the wounded.
“David departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. And when his brothers and all his father's house heard it, they went down there to him. And everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was bitter in soul, gathered to him. And he became commander over them.” - 1 Samuel 22:1-2
This is a moment right now when you and I are facing a test and a decision we have to make. Do we stay in this place because we've been hunted for so long? We have faced warfare for so long, and we have faced disappointments, impossibilities, and constant hope deferred for so long. Do we stay in the cave? Do we stay in the stronghold?
“Then the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not remain in the stronghold; depart, and go into the land of Judah.” - 1 Samuel 22:5
And so I feel like I'm saying this to you right now, too: “LEAVE THAT PLACE! SHAKE IT OFF!”
I know you've been through a season of such mental anguish and torment. I know you've been through seasons, where you've been head-hunted by the enemy, where assignment after assignment has constantly come after you. That spirit of Saul unleashed a reign of terror against you, throwing spears, javelins, and knives at you to get you to shut down and shut up, but this is not a season for that.
This is a season to come out of the cave. This is a season to come out of that place of containment. It's a season you better fight back, you better take back ground.
It’s a time to remember that God anointed you. Do you remember the day that God called you? It's time to come back to that again. Time to come back to that ferocity again. Time to come back to that place of complete abandon again. That place of worship, before the slander came at you, and the fear and trauma of the pursuit started to rattle you and take hold.
Let me prophesy this - God is turning your season of being “hunted” around...
For years now, you have felt like David on the run. Pursued, attacked, slandered, and hunted because of the call on your life, and it's taken its toll, causing you to retreat, hide, back down, and forget the joy of when God first called you.
You have been watched, surveilled, talked about, and sabotaged as they plotted and planned to see you fall.
Yet I hear the Lord saying - “Watch now as the HUNTED become the HUNTERS.”
“Watch now as my David’s leave the season of assassination and STEP OUT of the cave with a fire and ferocity they never had before to tear down principalities and powers. For I have used this warfare to FORGE you and make you INDESTRUCTABLE for the days ahead.”
And while you are still reeling right now and trying to fully untangle yourself from the snare once and for all, you know that this relentless assignment has only opened your eyes to the spiritual battle of the hour and exposed the attacks you could never fully discern before.
Let me say this again clearly - you escaped the snare that was not just sent to trip you up but to TAKE YOU OUT.
God opened your eyes to see the depths and reach of this cancerous assignment before it was too late, and it robbed you of everything.
And now it's time for you to step out of the shadows, David. Leave Addullum. Come down from your hidden perch. I know you suffered much but now let God UN-SLIME you and heal any remaining open wounds.. Because in this next chapter? You won’t be running, you’ll be reigning in Jesus name!
So right now, shake off this mental storm that's been coming at you!
So many people who are reading this have been facing nightmares and torment in their sleep. Insomnia. Fear and foreboding on a level you never imagined before, worries, constantly rehearsing over outcomes that haven't even come to pass yet.
The enemy has kept you in a prison of captivity where your mind has been held captive, but I hear the Lord saying, "It's time to begin to take your mind captive. It's time to begin to fight yourself out of that place with the word and with worship. It's time to begin to reject the identity that you've accepted through your years of being hunted and pursued!”
Now I want to make this even more practical. So many of you have been through season after season of constant relational warfare, witchcraft, gossip, slander, and betrayal, and you just don't know how to get back up on your feet again.
You don't know how to trust people. And you don't know how to shake off the slime.
I keep hearing the Lord say right now, "Step back into My fiery presence. Step back into My throne room. Allow me to wash you clean of the years that you were on the run, and I am dealing with the ASSIGNMENT OF MENTAL WITCHCRAFT that has been after you!”
Right now, as you're reading this. God's beginning to wash away the years. He's washing away the years. He's washing away the years.
I believe that this is a Mount Gilboa moment, that you're going to see that assignment of Saul fall on the sword, and you'll step into your years of reigning in victory in Jesus’ name!
