PIONEERS, IT'S TIME FOR THE SPOILS OF WAR!

(This is an excerpt from www.letterstothepioneers.com )

GOD DID WHAT?

I still remember my first "spoils" moment. I didn't expect it to be honest. We had so much

opposition when we started stepping out that we just expected that we would have to keep

fighting to prove ourselves. But this was when God began showing up in favor on our behalf.

I realize now it was like we had been fighting and battling for so long that it felt so strange when

God showed up to the battle for us. And people began to see it.

This first moment came unexpectedly one night when I was doing my daily broadcast on

Periscope. I can't even remember what I was talking about, but God's thick, weighty glory fell on

the video, and I fell to the floor under it. So did people watching. People started getting healed,

laughing, and encountering the Lord. Something shifted. But around us moved. But also,

something in me shifted.

Maybe I had an orphan or performance mindset until that season when I thought it all rested on

me, or perhaps I didn't have faith that God would endorse me or back me up. That mindset

began to shatter as God regularly moved in powerful ways. Prophesy was off the charts. Words

of knowledge. Details of lives. People being set free. I didn't know what to think. If Instagram

were around, I would have definitely shared those highlights.

What was happening? What did I do? Was it me? No, it was the spoils of war. God was faithful

to back me up because I had persevered. It was no longer on me, but this was his thing.

He wanted to show me that he was the God faithful to those seeking him. He wanted me to

know that because I didn't give up on Him during the years, it didn't make sense; He wouldn't

give up on me. In fact, He wanted to show off his glory through me. And he did, and I'm so

grateful. Not because I needed people to see if and change their minds. I didn't want people to

think I was some super special Christian, but I needed to know that the Father was with me in

this.

I'm a fighter and always will be. But I needed to know that I had Him in my corner and that there

was a sunrise after midnight.

And I also have a feeling you needed to be told that today.

Pioneers, you have been from battle to battle and fight to fight.

You have continued to stand when others have fallen or given up.

You have stayed true when others have caved in to compromise or traded destiny for comfort.

You have left ALL and given ALL for the sake of your calling.

You have left the paved cobble roads for the thick briar and thorns.

You have been battered, bruised, and paid a higher price than you expected you would.

You have been war-torn, shell-shocked, and now walk with a limp.

But this is not the end of your story.

This is a season when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one

treading grapes.

This season, the Lord will restore the years that the locust ate.

This is the season that ziklag will become your greatest breakthrough.

A season so marked by the favor of God that people will not be able to deny the miracle-working

power of God and his goodness over your life.

In a moment, it will all shift for you, and you will be reminded again of the laughter you once had

and the joy of your inheritance.

And you will have to see to believe the mighty work God is about to do in your life.

Pioneers, I prophesy over you that your spoils are coming in Jesus name!

11 "In that day

"I will restore David's fallen shelter—

I will repair its broken walls

and restore its ruins—

and will rebuild it as it used to be,

12

so that they may possess the remnant of Edom

and all the nations that bear my name,[e]"

declares the Lord, who will do these things.

13 "The days are coming," declares the Lord,

"when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman

and the planter by the one treading grapes.

New wine will drip from the mountains

and flow from all the hills,

14

and I will bring my people Israel back from exile.[f]

"They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them.

They will plant vineyards and drink their wine;

they will make gardens and eat their fruit.

15

I will plant Israel in their own land,

never again to be uprooted

from the land I have given them,"

says the Lord your God. — Amos 9:11-15
